According to a report by Dexerto, the prominent North American organization known as 100 Thieves are set to return to the CDL as the LA Thieves. Here below is a link to their report:
100 Thieves set to return to CDL – How and why?
Before we go over the how and why, we must go back in time to when they first announced that they will be parting ways with their COD roster. Back in August of 2019, 100 Thieves CEO Nadeshot, announced that they will not compete in the 2020 season. The sole reason was that there were too many upfront costs and careers at stake, and the organization was not prepared to make that jump and make that decision.
Fast forward to 2020, OpTic Gaming has being reacquired by Hector βH3CZβ Rodriguez. This meant that NRG (Chicago Huntsmen) would own two spots in the Call of Duty League. According to the regulations of the CDL, this is not allowed as one person can only have ownership of one team in the league. This is why Hector is placing the CDL spot on sale, and this is what’s catching Nadeshotβs attention.

A few weeks ago, 100 Thieves announced that they will be withdrawing from CS:GO for a second time. And this is why it’s a perfect time for the organization to re-enter the COD League.
What will the roster look like?
According to the report linked above, if the deal does go through, their roster will consist of:
- Austin βSlasheRβ Liddicoat
- Kenny βKuavoβ Williams
- Thomas βTJHaLyβ Haly
- Zack βDrazahβ Jordan
The team is currently under OpTic Gaming Los Angeles, so all they will be doing is shifting orgs due to the CDL spot. Slasher and Kuavo Kenny have already played for the organization, so they will certainly feel at home if the deal does eventually go through.
It will be very exciting to see such an amazing organization like 100 Thieves re-entering the COD scene. Especially after the great memories they left behind.
