What better way to kick off a season than a pre-season event? Accordingly, the 2022 LCS Lock-In is an awesome event taking place in January. However, Riot Games has already announced groups for this event. Read on as we reveal the 2022 LCS Lock-In Groups below!
2022 LCS Lock-In Groups Announced – An Awesome Return
For those unaware, the LCS Lock-In 2022 tournament will feature all 10 teams from the LCS fighting for a $150,000 prize pool. Taking place from 14th January to 30th January, Riot Games drew the following Groups:
Group A:
- Cloud9
- Counter Logic Gaming
- Dignitas
- Immortals
- Team Liquid
Group B:
- 100 Thieves
- Evil Geniuses
- FlyQuest
- Golden Guardians
- TSM
What importance to these groups play? Specifically, the event kicks off with a Group Stage. At this point, only 4 teams from each group will progress to the Playoffs.
It’s in the Playoffs that teams will be seeded in a single-elimination bracket with BO3 matches in the Quartefinals. Moving on, the Semis and Grand Finals will be BO5.
We can’t wait to see how the teams use this event to gear up for the upcoming season.
