European org Alliance have just announced that they are bringing on Ppd as a trial coach for their Dota 2 team. Here is their announcement:
Alliance bringing on Ppd as Trial Coach – Who is he?
29-year-old Peter “ppd” Dager is an American Dota 2 player which has recently switched into a coaching role. He started his competitive career in 2013 with team Stay Free, and then went on to play for Evil Geniuses, OpTic Gaming, as well as Ninjas In Pyjamas. He’s earned an approximate total of $3,004,257 in esports winnings, and is looking to increase that value under the Alliance org.
This is what Ppd said about trail coaching for Alliance:
“Big shoutout to the team and S4 for believing in me. Coaching is something I always wanted to try, and I’m grateful for the opportunity. We’ve had a great start to the season and the plan is to finish the season strong!”

What’s next?
This roster improvement comes after Alliance’s disappointing performance at the ONE Esports Singapore Major. The team lost early in the event, placing only 13th. Beforehand, the team was doing somewhat well, placing 2nd in DreamLeague Season 14 DPC EU Upper Division and winning the EPIC League Season 2 Division 2 tournament. Hopefully now they’re looking for more consistency within the team to get those desired results!
