Danish esports organization Astralis have just announced that they are bringing in MagiFelix into their League of Legends roster to represent them in the LEC. Here is their announcement:
Astralis bringing in Magifelix – Who is he?
20-year-old Felix “MagiFelix” Boström is a competitive League of Legends player that specializes in the Mid-lane position. He has been competing since 2016, when he joined Euronics Gaming. Since then he’s been with a variety of teams and rosters, most notably: Movistar Riders, YouthCrew Esports, and most recently, Fnatic Rising. With Fnatic Rising he has managed to acquire some exceptional results, here are some of his best:
- 3rd/4th at European Masters Spring 2019 – 27th April 2019 – $15,030
- 3rd/4th at European Masters Summer 2019 – 28th September 2019 – $14,762
- 1st in Northern League of Legends Championship Summer 2020 – 16th August 2020 – $11,476
Why?
The main reason for this swap is because Nukeduck, currently inactive mid-laner for Astralis, has opted to take a break from competition due to personal reasons.
MagiFelix is currently contracted with Astralis till March 31st, which is a reasonable amount of time to prove his worth. At the moment, Nukeduck’s duration of absence is incalculable, making things more difficult for his team. In any case, Astralis will also have the option to increase the contract length and keep MagiFelix for a majority of the Spring Split.
