Earlier today, Rocket League pro AtomiK announced that he is returning to the starting roster of Team Queso. Here is his announcement:
Atomik returning to Team Queso – Who is he?
Sergio “AtomiK” Pérez Cortés is a 16-year-old Rocket League talent from Spain. He started his career in 2019 with Mav3ricks eSports, and after a few months went on to play for NPK. It wasn’t until the very late stages of 2020 until he got his first shot with the Queso lineup. With this team he has truly showcased his abilities and impressed the world. However, for some reason it was announced that he was benched on the 3rd of July, but I guess now he’s back? Very interesting decisions from the Queso management, but we’ll see how it goes in their upcoming competitions.
Here are some of his best achievements with Team Queso:
- 3rd/4th in RLCS X EU Championship – 17th June 2021 – $52,000
- 1st at RLCS X Spring EU Regional Event 2 – 28th March 2021 – $30,000
- 2nd in RLCS X Winter EU Regional Event 2 – 6th December 2020 – $15,000
What’s next?
Along with the announcement, AtomiK states that they’ve got more news coming soon. He does not hint at what this ‘news’ could be, but since it’s soon, be sure to keep an eye out on his, and Team Queso’s twitter.
