South East Asian esports org Bigetron Esports have announced that they are disbanding their Wild Rift roster. Read on to know more about the move:
Bigetron Esports disbanding Wild Rift roster – Why?
In the main announcement, Bigetron do not mention any reason as to why they are disbanding the roster. Unfortunately, as recently emerged, a lot of Indonesian teams are departing the esport. Apparently, the only org standing from the preseason is BOOM Esports. This is extremely concerning, especially as there has been no clear reason why these teams are disbanding.
Here below are all the departing members:
- Muhammad “Falp1” Fajri
- Steven “Control” Verdianta
- Henry “Henry” Nathaniel
- Rully “Nuts” Sutanto
- Dewa “Dewa” Fabian
- Harry “Harry” Rainier
In the beginning, the team didn’t find much success in regional events. Only managing to place 3rd once, a tournament that took place in February. However in recent events, the team has been performing quite well, getting a win in the Preseason of the SEA Series, and a 2nd place in the Summer SEA Series. Unfortunately they couldn’t replicate their success in the Summer Cup.
Here’s what they managed to achieve in their short time with the team:
- 9th-12th at SEA Icon Series 2021: Summer Super Cup – 25th June 2021 – $6,500
- 2nd in SEA Icon Series 2021: Summer – Indonesia – $2,808
- 1st at SEA Icon Series 2021: Preseason – Indonesia – 21st March 2021 – $2,500
Despite being a new mobile esport, a lot of roster switches and changes have been made already. With the leagues officially forming, things are getting serious, and a lot of orgs from all regions are getting involved with the esport.
