Tournament organizer BLAST have just revealed that the BLAST Premier Fall Final will take place in an arena with a live audience. Here is their announcement:
BLAST Premier Fall Final – Event Details
Not much has been revealed just yet, as we’re still very far from the event taking place. So far what we know is that the tournament will consist of a $425,000 prize pool, and will play out between the 23rd and 28th of November. The main format for the event will be a double elimination bracket where each series features a best of 3. Much like every other BLAST Final, the tournament participants will consist of the very top teams around the world. These teams will have to qualify through the Fall Groups, as well as the Fall Showdown.
Why is this big news?
Obviously due to the pandemic, mass events were quite literally banned from the face of the earth. Esports wasn’t the only industry to suffer from the pandemic, but other industries as well. Despite LAN and offline events being banned, esports still managed to continue through regional and online platforms. Now we’re reaching a point where the health situation is slowly returning to the norm and we can soon have continuous offline events.
