According to Esportsmaniacos, 2 of Fnatic’s core members, Bwipo & Selfmade, are turning down contract extensions with Fnatic. Here is everything you need to know.
Bwipo & Selfmade Turning Down Fnatic Contract Extensions – Why?
If you’ve been paying attention to recent European League of Legends, you already know that Fnatic has been struggling for quite a while. In fact, their recent drop in performance led them into getting eliminated early from the LEC Spring Split Finals, finishing in just 5th place. This was the first time in a long while that Fnatic had had a very disappointing performance in the LEC.
Both of these players will have their contracts expired by the end of the 2021 season, till the 15th of November. If Fnatic don’t improve their results and performance by the Summer Split, Bwipo and Selfmade won’t have much to think about with regards to their stay.
What’s next?
It seems like the recent changes made to the team, with Nemesis and Rekkles departing, the team hasn’t felt the same. If the report is true, meaning that both Bwipo & Selfmade have different plans for their future, it could mark new beginnings for Fnatic. The team has been in the scene since the esports’ birth, and it would certainly be a shame to see it drop so low in the European and worldwide rankings.
All in all we’ll just have to wait and see how they perform in this upcoming split. Fnatic have not yet hinted at any roster changes, but we can surely expect a change in the very near future.
