Another weekend of competitive Call of Duty has finally come to an end and the Chicago Huntsmen are the new champions once again. The leaderboard continues to be shuffled as we head into the latter half of the season. Read on as we recap the Call of Duty League Seattle Home Series 2020 below!
It may be called the Seattle Home Series, but Seattle was in no position to defend their land, or servers in this case. Our predictions, for the most part, did, in fact, come true with the exceptions of the London Royal Ravens and the Chicago Huntsmen.
You’d think that barely a week after making a swap that these teams would show some potential but not really captivate on anything due to a lack of preparation. That’s hardly what happened, as both teams managed to make it to the Grand Final in spectacular fashion.
Right off the rip, we’ll tackle the upsets. Los Angeles Guerillas finally taking down Seattle was the last straw which broke the Surge’s back – their roster is believed to be done now. Then there’s Minnesota bombing out of groups once again following their last performance while both New York and OGLA keep up the heat. London, however, was the biggest shock this weekend as nobody saw them leaving Groups at all.
Below we have the Finals matches and their outcomes:
Semifinals
- London Royal Ravens vs OGLA (3-2)
- Chicago Huntsmen vs New York Subliners (3-1)
Finals
- London Royal Ravens vs Chicago Huntsmen (1-3)
Despite the troubled online connection for OGLA, they managed to put up a fantastic fight. Meanwhile, the Subliners couldn’t thwart the hunger from the Huntsmen. The two teams in the grand finals had just made roster changes: this was insane. Sadly, everyone knew this would be going the way of Huntsmen and just like that, they join Dallas and FaZe as two-time winners in the league.
Apart from the main event, the Warzone Weekend had a successful debut as Paris Legion were our very first victors!
