Bearing this in mind, we’re excited for the upcoming Arena of Glory Spring 2022 event in the coming week. Read on for all of the viewership details you need!

Event Background

This season will prove to be quite huge for competitive Arena of Valor in the region. After 11 seasons, this twelth season will actually be the very first time that we’ll be witnessing an expansion to a total of 10 teams.

Considering this massive change, we can’t wait to witness the action take place offline in Vietnam across Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City. Running from the 10th February all the way to 8th May, there’s competition to look forward to during the months ahead.

Apart from the $130,000 on the line, what else are they competing for? For this event in particular, the placements will be awarded as follows:

  • 9-10th – Relegation Playoffs
  • 1st – Seed at AIC 2022

Regardless of placing, RTWC Points will be split across the board too.

For these coming months, Garena has come up with an interesting format.

Starting things off, quite typically, is a Group Stage. Running until April 24th, all 10 teams will compete to make it to the top 4. Doing so, they’ll fight through BO5 matches, with each team facing one another twice.

They’ll try reach fourth place, considering each win is 1 point, in order to qualify for the Playoffs.

Accordingly, with the Playoffs planned to take place on April 30th, May 1st and May 8th, here’s where the stakes ramp up.

Seeding into a double elimination bracket, the final four teams will compete across BO7 matches, trying to make it to the decisive Grand Final on 8th May, cementing the best of the region.

Since the AIC 2021 event last year, competitive Honor of Kings has taken a minute to breathe before the next season. Accordingly, we’re finally ready for the King Pro League Spring 2022 event which kicks off in the coming week. Read on as we provide all of the viewership details below!

Event Background

For those unaware, Honor of Kings is simply the Chinese version of the popular mobile MOBA esport called Arena of Valor in other regions.

Indeed, Honor of Kings is celebrating another year of its incredible franchised league. Bearing this in mind, the King Pro League 2022 Spring looks to kickstart the season once again, representing cities across al of China.

Format

There are multiple stages of competition here.

Specifically, we’ll kick off with a Group Stage on 9th February, running all the way to 17th April.

Here, all 18 teams will be split into 3 groups of 6 based on rankings from last season. Accordingly, the groups are as follows:

  • S Group – eStar Pro, Gank Gaming, Talent Gaming, TOP Esports Armor, Wolves, Xianyou Gaming
  • A Group – AG Super Play, Douya Gaming, LGD Goose, Mighty Tiger Gaming, Rogue Warriors, Team WE
  • B Group – EDward Gaming, Hero JuiJing, KuaiShow Gaming, Royal Never Give Up, ViCi Gaming, Weibo Gaming

Promising three rounds of competition, here are the dates of the round:

  • First Round – February 9-27th
  • Second Round – March 3-27th
  • Third Round – April 2-17th

Across the first two rounds, a single round robin with BO5 games will take place across each group. Do note that at each stage, the bottom teams get moved down a group – at the end of round 2, all teams in B Group are eliminated.

In the final third round, the 2 remaining groups will play a single-round-robin with BO5, where the bottom 2 from Group A are eliminated.

Considering this, there will be 6 teams left to compete in Shanghai at an unannounced date. A double-elimination bracket in a BO7 will determine the winner of the entire event. From the Groups, here’s how seeding will work:

  • Top 4 from Group S – Winners Bracket
  • 5-6th in Group S – Lower Bracket R2
  • Top 4 in Group A – Lower Bracket R1

Following this insane format, the event will be over sometime in May.

How to Watch RoV Pro League 2022 Summer – teams, format, schedule, streams, predictions

Indeed, it’s been a while since the RoV Pro League 2022 has been in action. Accordingly, we’re ready to enjoy the next chapter of competitive Arena of Valor with the upcoming Summer event starting in the coming days. Read on as we provide all of the essential viewership details for this exciting event below!

Event Background

For those unaware, the RoV Pro League 2022 has become a franchised league of its own, following the structure of other popular leagues such as the Overwatch League and LCK for League of Legends.

Bearing this in mind, we have a fixed number of teams who are established teams in the franchised system. Accordingly, the following are the franchised teams for this upcoming season of the RoV Summer Pro League 2022:

Speaking of which, let’s discuss the format for this 3 month long event.

Starting with January 29th, we have the Group Stage. Here, all teams will be placed into a Group Stage, competing in a double round-robin to play best-of-five matches. After everyone plays one another twice, all the action concludes by March 20th 2022.

Once complete, only the top 4 teams from the Group Stage will qualify to the Playoffs. Note that the Group Stage will be played online while the Playoffs will be played offline in Bangkok

  • Upper Bracket Final – 1st place vs 2nd place from Group Stage
  • Lower Bracket Semifinals – 3rd place vs 4th place from Group Stage

Taking place sometime in April, the Playoff will involve a double eliminatio bracket with teams seeded according to placement in Group Stage. Each mach will be a BO7 all the way to the Grand Final.

AoV International Championship 2021 Recap – Buriram Take Over

Since November, the AoV International Championship has entertained the industry. Accordingly, the mobile esport has enjoyed its largest event ever to conclude the season. Furthermore, below we have our very own recap for this exciting event!

With $1,000,000 on the line and 14 of the best teams in the world, the stage was set for an awesome competition. As always, we’ll be following the winning team, Buriram United Esports, on their journey.

Seeded into Group A, the Thai team would contend with some of the best teams at the event. Accordingly, they managed to plkace third here, earning a spot to the Knockout Stage.

Here, they struggled greatly initially. Specifically, they lost their opening Quarterfinal match to Saigon Phantom. Moved to the Lower Bracket, things turned up for them.

They were definitely not out of it, taking down Valencia, ONE Team, Talon Esports and Hong Kong Attitude on the way.

With a grand final against V Gaming, Buriram squeezed out an incredible win with a 4-3 scoreline, earning them the global title of champions.

Truly the event was superb and we can’t wait for next season.

Established city and campus tournaments will be returning and we are welcoming these events to all new regions, Europe, North and South America, South Asia, Middle East and North Africa turning our amateur scene into a truly global affair.

In 2022, the Arena of Valor International Championship (AIC) will move from late November to June and we will be seeing more regions fighting over the honor of winning and wearing this international crown.

This year’s AIC prize pool already doubled from $500,000 to $1,000,000. Next year we are committing to doubling it again making the total prize pool for AIC the largest in Arena of Valor history – an impressive $2,000,000.

Why? Possibly, it seems that this looks to be a competitor for another RPG in the East – MiHoYo’s Genshin Impact.

Indeed, for the past month competitive Arena of Valor has been slowly building up to the International Championship later this month. One such event is the AoV Star League Winter 2021. After concluding yesterday, we have another confirmed seed! Read on for your quick event recap!

A lot was on the line for this particular event. Inviting competitors from all across Indonesia, the stage was set. Accordingly, 6 of the best teams in the region went at it to fight and earn a seed for the largest event of the year – AIC 2021.

Let’s follow the journey of ArchAngel. Well, it didn’t start too hot in the Gorup Stage. Here, the future winners only sat at third place with a 7-3 record.

Accordingly, they went into the final bracket not being the favourites. So much so, they lost their first match to DG Esports and were sent to the Lower Bracket. Here they eliminated every competitor in their way until they made it to the Grand Finals.

Finally, they took down the favourites of Dewa United in epic fashion, with a 2-4 scoreline. Just like that, they’ve posted their ticket to the largest event later this month.

Over the past month, competitive Arena of Valor has been relatively quiet. However, that all changes with the announcement of the AoV International Championship 2021 last week. Accordingly, Garena went public with some details regarding the event which we’ll happily share with you below!

First, here are some basic facts about this fifth iteration of this historic event for competitive Arena of Valor:

  • Venue: Online
  • Participants: 14 Teams
  • Prize Pool: $1,000,000 (double the prize of previous tournaments)
  • Dates: 27th November to 19th December
  • Hosts: organized by Tencent and Garena

Yes, this anniversary event is special – this can be seen in the massive bump in prize pool.

However, though, the event will all be held online due to reasons of safety, as outlined in the press release from Garena.

Accordingly, teams will source from the following regions; China, Indonesia, Japan, Korea, Malaysa + Singapore + Philippines, Chinese Taipei, Thailand and Vietnam:

  • AOG – 3 Teams
  • RPL – 3 Teams
  • ASL – 1 Team
  • MSP – 1 Team

Indeed, offering the top competition for the Indonesian region, the event will be taking Online in the area of Jakarta. Here, with only 6 teams attending, the stakes are high.

Accordingly, there’ll be $25,000 on the line. Specifically, the event will run from 1st October all the way to Halloween on 31st October.

Moving on to format, there’s a lot to talk about.

Starting things off, we have the regular season which runs from October 1st to October 24th. Here, we’ll witness a double round-robin with BO3 matches throughout. After 3 weeks of competition, the top 4 teams will move on the Playoffs.

A this point in time, note that tibereaker rules apply too – with head-to-head and game difference playing a part.

Accordingly, following this the Grand Finals look to run from October 29th to October 31st. Indeed, at this point in time we’ll get to enjoy a single-elimination King of the Hill bracket. With each team fighting to stay on top, every single match will be a BO7.
