How to Watch CDL Stage 3 Major Qualifier – teams, format, schedule, streams, predictions

Last week, we saw the Call of Duty League compete at the Stage 2 Major. Accordingly, the action is not stopping, with the next stage kicking off next week. Indeed, read on as we discuss how to watch the CDL Stage 3 Major Qualifier in this featured article!

For those unaware, the 2023 Call of Duty League season this year involves five Majors, followed by the CDL Championship.

Specifically, each Major is preceded by a Qualifiers event, where teams earn CDL Points. Overall, these CDL Points determine seeding for the Major together with the overall CDL Standings.

Taking place between 17th February and 5th March, the CDL Stage 3 Major Qualifies will take place online, featuring the 12 franchised teams as listed below:

  • Boston Breach
  • Florida Mutineers
  • Las Vegas Legion
  • London Royal Ravens
  • Los Angeles Guerrillas
  • Los Angeles Thieves
  • Minnesota ROKKR
  • New York Subliners

Considering how essential these CDL Points are, there’s a lot on the line in these coming weeks!

Format

With regards to the format, it’s rather simple. Overall, all 12 teams will play 4 matches per team, as prdetermined by the scheduled. Each match is BO5, where each team receives 10 CDL points for each win. Seeding into the Major will work as follows:

  • Top 8 – Upper Bracket in the Major
  • Bottom 4 – Lower Bracket in the Major

Notably, once the Qualifiers are over, the Major will involve a double elimination bracket, where $500,000 of prize pool is on the line. Bearing this in mind, the schedule is essential and will not be the same for every team.

Florida Mutineers CDL 2023 – Parting Ways with MajorManiak

Indeed, every since the start of the season, Florida Mutineers CDL 2023 haven’t looked very strong. Accordingly, the newly formed roster has failed to impress with two poor placings at two Majors. Moreover, the roster seems to be making another change to try better their luck!

For those unaware, the roster at CDL Stage 2 Major was not the roster they started the season with. Moreover, Carson “Brack” Newberry was substituted and David “Davpadie” Maslowski was brought in.

However, the change didn’t make much improvement. Moreover, just recently after finishing 9-12th at Stage 2 Major, a player has been dropped. Specifically, Michael “MajorManiak” Szymaniak is no longer part of the roster.

Overall, the 2023 season for the Call of Duty League has been very successful. Accordingly, as the competition gets more exciting, the upcoming week will see the second major of the year take place. Read on to learn How to Watch the CDL 2023 Stage 2 Major below!

Event Background

Indeed, in the era of the Call of Duty League, this is the first event ever to be hosted in Boston, North America. Hosted by Boston Breach, the entire competition is heading to the MGM Music Hall from 2nd to the 5th February.

Moreover, the 12 franchised teams will be competing for the prize pool of $500,000 and coveted Call of Duty League points. Here are the list of franchised teams participating below:

With regards to the format, the entire competition will take place across a double elimination bracket.

Once in Elimination, another loss means elimination for teams. From each side of the bracket, two teams will make it to the BO7 Grand Final while all other matches are BO5.

In conclusion, we’ll have a new champion on the evening of 5th February.
