CDL Rostermania 2022 – Ranking the Off-Season Moves

Indeed, CoD rostermania has been insane. Accordingly, after keeping track of all the changes, we’re ready to discuss. Indeed, in this featured article, we’ll be discussing CDL Rostermania 2022, specifically by ranking the changes in order of our expectations for the teams.

CDL Rostermania 2022 – Ranking the New Rosters

#1 – OpTic Texas
Credits: OpTic Scump Twitter

Starting us off, we have the biggest move of the off-season. Accordingly, OpTic Chicago saw the merging of Dallas Empire and OpTic Chicago. Accordingly, the rosters were merged to form a new and exciting roster set to win championships this year:

  • Brandon “Dashy” Otell
  • Indervir “iLLeY” Dhaliwal
  • Seth “Scump” Abner
  • Anthony “Shotzzy” Cuevas-Castro
#2 – New York Subliners
Credits: NYSL

Indeed, following the merging of the two rosters, the likes of Ian “Crimsix” Porter was free to sign with a roster. Accordingly, the veteran signed with NYSL to form a very strong roster combining veteran leadership and insane young talent:

  • Paco “HyDra” Rusiewiez
  • James “Clayster” Eubanks
  • Travis “Neptune” McCloud
  • Ian “Crimsix” Porter
#3 – Los Angeles Thieves
LA Thieves Roster

Following a completely unsuccesful season from Los Angeles Thieves, change was needed. Acccordingly, they decided to form an insane squad of their own, fielding talent from Seattle Surge and former OpTic Chicago:

  • Kenny “Kenny” Williams
  • Zack “Drazah” Jordan
  • Sam “Octane” Larew
  • Dylan “Envoy” Hannon
#4 – Los Angeles Guerrillas

Meeting us in the middle, it’s LAG. Following two seriously poor seasons, the roster is finally looking strong thanks to some huge changes and investments. This is likely the season where we witness the best performance from this roster which struggled in the past:

  • Obaid “Asim” Asim
  • Peirce “Gunless” Hillman
  • Cuyler “Huke” Garland
  • Austin “SlasheR” Liddicoat
  • Kris “Spart” Cervantez (Substitute)
#5 – London Royal Ravens
Credits: London Royal Ravens

Meanwhile, London Royal Ravens always loked great last year, but failed to deliver. Following obstacle after obstacle, too many changes made solid progress very difficult. In order to counter this, a new roster led by veteran Trei “Zer0″ Morris looks to make some noise:

  • Marcus “Afro” Reid
  • Joey “Gismo” Owen
  • Byron “Nastie” Plumridge
  • Trei “Zer0″ Morris
#6 – Seattle Surge

On the other side, Seattle Surge is also following a similar approach. Accordingly, they’ve revamped their roster to now include a proven veteran supported by several hungry younger players:

  • Lamar “Accuracy” Abedi
  • Makenzie “Mack” Kelley
  • Amer “Pred” Zulbeari
  • Daunte “Sib” Gray
#7 – Florida Mutineers
Credits: Call of Duty League Twitter

Nearing the bottom of the list, Florida Mutineers confused the community with an unorthodox change. Accordingly, they’ve kept components of their roster, while adding new and to an extent, unproven talent:

  • Cesar “Skyz” Bueno
  • Joseph “Owakening” Conley
  • David “Davpadie” Maslowski
  • Reece “Vivid” Drost
  • Christian “Yeez” Faircloth – Substitute
#8 – Paris Legion
Credits: Call of Duty League Twitter

Rounding off our list, it’s Paris Legion. Although they’ve decided to refresh their roster, we’re not entirely convinced. Accordingly, the organization has signed some older veterans and other players who haven’t been successful in a while.

Yet, let’s hope they can turn things around:

  • Jacob “Decemate” Cato
  • Tyler “FeLo” Johnson
  • Johnathan “John” Perez
  • Donovan “Temp” Laroda

CDL Rostermania 2022 – Unchanged Active Rosters

Besides these 8 rosters, three others stood unchanged. Naturally, these were some of the best rosters from last year:

  • Atlanta FaZe
  • Minnesota Rokkr
  • Toronto Ultra
Credits: Mark Bryceland Twitter

Specifically, the only changes were such as Atlanta FaZe signing a substitute such as Preston “Prestinni” Sanderson.

Beyond all of these rosters, there still remains an unannounced team in the Boston organization. Likely, with the season kicking off in a few weeks, we’ll know more about this.

We simply can’t wait for the season to kick off!

Los Angeles Guerrillas Roster 2022 – Spart Back on the Bench

As each day passes, the next season of Call of Duty approaches. Accordingly, rostermania is in its final chapters, with most rosters concluding. However, the Los Angeles Guerrillas Roster is making one more change. Read on as we discuss their new substitute – a familiar face.

Los Angeles Guerrillas Roster – Hopefully Better Than Last Time

Accordingly, every team is required to have a substitute in the Call of Duty League, for obvious reasons.

Indeed, backing up a new and strong roster, LAG decided to rely on a familiar face. That’s why they’ve decided to sin Kris “Spart” Cervantez, making his return to the roster from 2020.

Specifically, he’ll be the backup to the following main roster for the upcoming season:

  • Obaid “Asim” Asim
  • Peirce “Gunless” Hillman
  • Cuyler “Huke” Garland
  • Austin “SlasheR” Liddicoat

The roster for this organization has never been this solid. This is the season with the highest expectations ever, especially considering their poor record:

  • 11-12th @ CDL Stage 5 Major 2021
  • 11th @ CDL 2021 Regular Season
  • 6th @ CDL Stage 5

Yet, we’re hopeful for this roster to make some noise and turn the league on its head once the league starts back up in February.

London Royal Ravens Roster 2022 – A Challenging EU Team

Indeed, last season of the CDL was very tough for the London Royal Ravens Roster! Accordingly, travel restrictions and a constantly changing roster resulted in poor results. Finally, after releasing their roster, they’ve finally announced their new CDL 2022 roster!

London Royal Ravens Roster 2022 – Any Hope?

The franchise is a little late to the party, with many other organizations already announcing.

As I’ll reiterate, this season the organization is desperate to replicate their success of the first season where they managed a strong 1st place at the CDL Champs 2020 event.

Without further delay, below is your roster:

  • Marcu “Afro” Reid
  • Joey “Gismo” Owen
  • Byron “Nastie” Plumridge
  • Trei “Zer0″ Morris

Otherwise, no substitute or coach has been announced.

Anyways, this roster can definitely improve from this past season of disappointment and bottom leaderboad performances:

  • 9-10th @ CDL Stage 5 Major
  • 5th @ CDL Stage 4 Major
  • 7-8th @ CDL Stage 3 Major
  • 9-10th @ CDL Stage 2 Major
  • 11-12th @ CDL Stage 1 Major

With the return of Trei “Zer0″ Morris, the veteran on the roster, together with the youngster of “Afro” this team can make some serious noise should they play together.

Paris Legion Roster 2022 – Signing A Bunch of Underdogs

Over the past two seasons, Paris Legion has consistently been a lower tier team in the Call of Duty League. Accordingly, some poor decisions resulted in some poor rosters so far. However, with their new announcement for 2022, things could change. Read on as we cover the Paris Legion Roster 2022 revealed recently!

Paris Legion Roster 2022 – Can They Match Up?

Last season, the Paris Legion roster showed some hope, though a constantly changing roster made things difficult concerning consistency.

Credits: Call of Duty League Twitter

Once again, the organization looks to start over, building on familiar names in the scene using competitors who all competed this past season. Take a look at the roster below:

  • Jacob “Decemate” Cato
  • Tyler “FeLo” Johnson
  • Jonathan “John” Perez
  • Donovan “Temp” Laroda

This is definitely an improvement over previous rosters. Specifically, we have a World Champion in the form of “John” on the team. Moreover, the addition of “Temp” who has played on the roster before should help provide some experience.

Otherwise, both “Decemate” and “FeLo” had competitive opportunities this past year to prove their worth.

Although not the best roster heading into this season, they have the potential to make some noise, though we’ll have to wait and see.

NRG VALORANT Roster – hazed Joining In

Accordingly, NRG was one of those esports organizations who didn’t make the cut for VALORANT Champions. Indeed, it’s no surprise that a change or two is needed to fix things up. NRG VALORANT Roster – What They Needed?

On October 27th, with the conclusion of the NA Stage 3 LCQ for the VALORANT Champions event, NRG dropped a player. Specifically, they dropped Matthew “Wedid” Suchan and have since been with 4 players.

However, only yesterday, they manage to acquire James “hazed” Cobb over from Team SoloMid. As another organization who couldn’t make the cut for the LCQ, the point of this is to mix up the roster a little.

Bearing this in mind, the following is the current active roster:

  • Sam “s0m” Oh
  • Daniel “eeiu” Vucenovic
  • Bradley “ANDROID” Fodor
  • Ian “tex” Botsch
  • James “hazed” Cobb

For context, here’s what the youngster had achieved back with Team SoloMid:

  • 1st @ VCT 2021 NA Stage 3 Challengers 2
  • 7-8th @ VCT NA Stage 3 Challengers Playoffs
  • 1-4th @ VCT 2021 NA Stage 3 Challengers 2 Open Qualifier

We’ll be keeping an eye out to see how this team develops.

Atlanta FaZe Sign Prestinni – A Great Substitute

Out of all of the franchised teams in the CDL, there are a few who haven’t made changes for next season. Accordingly, one such team is Atlanta FaZe, your reigning champions from last season. Indeed, there’s been an update. Instead, the organization has added a new substitute – read on to learn the following – Atlanta FaZe Sign Prestinni!

Atlanta FaZe Sign Prestinni – It Only Makes Sense

Out of all the players available for free agency on the market, Preston “Prestinni” Sanderson is potentialy one of the most talented players out there.

Also, in the context of Atlanta FaZe, the veteran won the title with the majority of the current roster, except “Cellium”, back on eUnited for Black Ops 4. Accordingly, this looks to be the new roster heading into the competitive season:

  • Tyler “aBeZy” Pharris
  • Alec “Arcitys” Sanderson
  • McArthur “Cellium” Jovel
  • Chris “Simp” Lehr
  • Substitute – Preston “Prestinni” Sanderson

This is probably what everybody wanted to see for this roaming talent. Indeed, it’s been tough over the past few years for Preston. Accordingly, being on three organizations so far, this will likely be his final stay.

As a talented individual, he’ll also fit in perfectly to the roster.

OpTic Texas Merger – The News is Finally Official

Indeed, since the start of competitive Call of Duty, there have been two major organizations at the top. Accordingly, Team Envy and OpTic Gaming are these two organizations and have been rivals for years. However, a development sees these intense enemies joining forces with the OpTic Texas Merger!

OpTic Texas Merger – The Two Top Organizations Merging

So, let’s kick things off with the official video the new merged organization released over on Twitter:

Credits: OpTic Texas Twitter

Heading into rostermania, both Dallas Empire and OpTic Chicago released two players each. Indeed, this set off a few alarm bells and got the community thinking. Bearing this in mind, this idea is finally a reality with this announcement. Specifically, the roster for the upcoming event will be the following:

  • Brandon “Dashy” Otell
  • Indervir “iLLeY” Dhaliwal
  • Seth “Scump” Abner
  • Anthony “Shotzzy” Cuevas-Castro
CoD Gentlemen's Agreements

This also means that the coaching staff of Raymond “Rambo” Lussier and Troy “Sender” Michaels will also be joining forces.

Furthermore, with these two franchised organizations merging, this opens up a twelth spot in the league. Until now, we have no idea as to whether or not this will be occupied by a new franchise yet or not.
