Over the past month or so, we’ve been building up for one particular CS:GO event. Indeed, with the past BLAST Premier Groups, we’re ready for the main event. Accordingly, the BLAST Premier Fall Showdown 2021 is just around the corner and you need to be filled in. Read on to learn about all of the juicy viewership details!

Event Background

This new structure, the BLAST Premier series of events, is making its debut this year.

Focusing on multiple exciting events across the calendar year, it builds up to the World Final 2021 later on this year.

Focusing on this upcoming event, we have 16 of the best teams in the world competing for the majority of $162,500. Furthermore, the event will run from 12th to the 18th October in an online environment.

Apart from the prize pool on the line, there is also seeding and points to fight for. Specifically, the top 8 can grab some much desired BLAST Premier Points while the first place winner and second place earns a direct seed to the Fall Finals.

These remaining teams are fighting for the last two spots at the Fall Finals.

Format

In terms of format, this event is offering one you wouldn’t typically see. Accordingly, with the Group Stage already out of the way through the previous event, we can focus on a high-stakes bracket.

Predictions

Heading into this event prior to the announcement of the Invited teams, one would easily favour those lower seeds from the previous BLAST Premier Groups event. However, the announcement of Heroic taking part is definitely a big threat to other teams.

Placing 3-4th at the recent EPL Season 14 event, they’re definitely one of the top teams in the world. Others, the likes of perhaps Team Liquid and G2 Esports will contend with Heroic for the two remaining spots.

Here at esportsguide, we’re always looking to the future. Indeed, December is pretty far off, but we’re already planning for it. Accordingly, so is ESL with the IEM XVI Winter event. Planned to be an wesome event for competitive CS:GO, the majority of invites have already been made public – read on for news about IEM Winter 2021 Invites!

Indeed, we can’t wait for the event. Accordingly, a $250,000 prize pool for the 16 teams in an offline environment is just what we need.

Although everyone’s talking about the PGL Stockholm Major, there’s more CS:GO to go around. Indeed, DreamHack have their own event coming up and we’re still waiting to hear more about the invites participating. Read on to learn more about DreamHack Open November 2021!

So far, the $100,000 Online event for Europe is looking to be a banger. Accordingly running from 10th November to 14th November, it’s a great warmup for the PGL Major 2021. Let’s take at the confirmed 5 seeds:

Apart from those, we’re looking for 3 more seeds which will be confirmed in the upcoming event.

So, what are these teams playing for? Well, apart from the prize, there’s a seed for the EPL SP15 Conference for the Winner. Otherwise, all participants will be able to earn a range of Pro Tour Points which will help for future Majors down the line.

Notably, many of the teams attending will also be heading to PGL Stockholm 2021 – they’ll be doing their best to practice and bring their A-game for the upcoming intense event.

Fnatic PGL Stockholm – Missing Out on International Competition Again

Within the European region of competitive CS:GO, Fnatic is one of the most popular organizations. Indeed, the organization has a rich history of constantly competing at the top of international CS:GO. However, over the past couple year’s, they’ve failed to appear at Majors. Read on to learn about Fnatic PGL Stockholm as another example.

It’s official. Accordingly, after their poor performance at the IEM XVI Fall Europe event, it’s all over. Indeed, Fnatic is mathematically out of PGL Stockholm Major.

This comes as no surprise following their disappointing performance. Starting in the Groups, they didn’t manage to win a single game, offering a 0-5 record. Here’s the roster that is currently fielded by Fnatic:

Renegades Qualify for PGL Stockholm – Strong Contenders

With each day, the IEM Fall events are slowly wrapping up. Accordingly, Valve is doing the math and announcing the obvious seeds for PGL Stockholm as the events unfold. Indeed, following yesterday’s 3 teams, we have one more team to talk about. Renegades qualify for PGL Stockholm – read on to learn more!

Renegades Qualify for PGL Stockholm – Oceania’s Only Team

With only one seed for the Oceania region, many had Renegades as the only team that would be able to clench this spot. Although contested by three other teams: ORDER, LookingForOrg and VERTEX Esports Club, they managed to come out on top.

Currently, the roster is sitting in the Grand Final, waiting to match up against LookingForOrg at the IEM Fall Oceania online event.

ViCi Gaming BLAST Fall Showdown – Exiting to Focus on IEM Fall Asia

Heading into events, teams are usually qualified or invited to them. Accordingly, for the BLAST Fall Showdown, teams qualified through the Group Stage. Indeed, just recently, it went public that ViCi Gaming BLAST Fall Showdown will not be taking please. Read on to learn why the team won’t be attending the event!

Heading into the BLAST Fall Showdown, ViCi Gaming had rightfully earned a spot through the Chinese qualifier.

However, the Chinese team has decided to not attend the event due to the timing. Accordingly, at the same time, the IEM Fall 2021: Asia event will also be held from October 5-10th.

Bearing this in mind, the team would not have the opportunity to travel and compete at the BLAST Premier Fall Showdown. Accordingly, nobody blames them for placing an importance on the IEM Fall Asia event.

Here, it’s their final chance to secure a seed at the upcoming PGL Stockholm Major event.

Again, with $2,000,000 on the line, the PGL Major Stockholm event looks to be the greatest CS:GO event ever – it’s no wonder ViCi Gaming don’t want to risk not qualifying due to travel restriction.

Ever since VALORANT has been released, professional CS:GO players have been swapping to try and catch the wave early. Indeed, another professional has announced his decision to move to VALORANT – Mertz CS:GO To VALORANT!

Accordingly, the Danish pro Daniel “mertz” Mertz has officially retired from CS:GO to now move to VALORANT. Let’s now discuss his career in CS:GO and his prospects for the future.

As of right now, he’s made no official statement as to where he’ll be moving next in terms of organization.

Accordingly, for regions with more than 4 teams, we’ll be enjoying a Group Stage followed by a Playoff Bracket immediately afterwards. Do note that most regions will include a double elimination bracket as even placing 3rd compared to 5th helps secure more of those enjoyable RMR points.

Furthermore, regions with 4 teams will be seeded immediately into a playoff bracket to determine a winner.
