The end of a regular season is bittersweet for some teams. Accordingly, it often means that changes are on the way. This seems to be the case for the Immortals LCS Roster 2022 – read on to learn about a recent change!
Immortals LCS Roster 2022 – Looking Forward
Unfortunately, it’s been a very poor season for the franchised roster. Regularly placing at the bottom of the LCS, change is certainly necessary.
Over the past week, the likes of Gabriel “Invert” Zoltan-Johan who has coached the roster is now parting ways with the roster.
Accordingly, the organization had the following to say on social media:
“We want to thank him for his continuous efforts towards the development of all of our League of Legends teams over his year at Immortals. We wish him nothing but the best in his next endeavor.”

The following roster has been working with the coach this past season:
Mohamed “Revenge” Kaddoura – Top
Shane “Kenvi” Espinoza – Jungle
Tristan “PowerOfEvil” Schrage – Mid
Lawrence “Lost” Sze Yuy Hui – Bottom
Lee “IgNar” Dong-geun – Support
However, considering the lack of success, we’re also expecting changes within the team.
Regardless of the outcome, they’ll be hoping to improve over their poor record:
After a very exciting season of competition, North American LoL is looking to conclude before Worlds 2022. Accordingly, the LCS 2022 Championship is kicking off within the upcoming days. Read on to learn how to watch this awesome event!
Event Background
Over the past few months, the 10 franchised teams have fought for a chance to reach the LCS 2022 Championship event. Notably, only the top 8 teams from the Group Stage would make it to the Playoffs.
Accordingly, with the regular season completed, we have our 8 teams competing for the coveted seeds for Worlds 2022:
Counter Logic Gaming
Cloud9
Team Liquid
FlyQuest
Evil Geniuses
100 Thieves
TSM
Golden Guardians
Running from 20th August all the way to 11th September, the competition will also feature a prize pool of $200,000.
From the 8 teams competing, only the top 3 teams will qualify for Worlds 2022. Only the top 2 will directly qualify to the Main Competition while 3rd will be sent to the Play-Ins.
Let’s learn more about the format below!
Format
With regards to the format, it’s rather simple. Specifically, just like the years before, a double elimination bracket will go down with BO5 matches to sort out the competition.
Bearing this in mind, here are the seeded matches for the bracket:
Upper Bracket Quarterfinals
Counter Logic Gaming vs Cloud9
Team Liquid vs FlyQuest
Upper Bracket Semifinals
Evil Geniuses vs TBD
100 Thieves vs TBD
Lower Bracket Round 1
TSM vs TBD
Golden Guardians vs TBD
For those unaware, a double elimination bracket implies that teams have two lifelines from the Upper Bracket. Moreover, a loss in the Upper Bracket means that a team falls to the Lower Bracket.
Then a loss here results in that team being eliminated from the competition. At the end, one team from the Upper Bracket and from the Lower Bracket will meet in the Grand Final.
Notably, the advantage for the Upper Bracket team is that less matches are needed to be played to make it to the Grand Final.

Team Heretics LEC 2022 – Sticking to Their Roots
Specifically, the co-founder of Heretics, Arnau Vidal, sat with Dexerto for a quick interview.
Anyways, our main points from the interview revolve around the intention for the team to build a roster or two to compete with the rest of Europe. Accordingly, here’s a snippet from the interview concerning this topic:
“Our initial idea is to have the two teams working together pretty closely — we’re strong believers in both European and Spanish talent, and we want to do our best to empower that.
We’re not going to have a ten-man roster, the teams will work separately, but it’s at the forefront of our minds to have the teams working together and even have some potential promotions to the LEC when the time is right and when it makes sense.”

Notably, this strategy is becoming more common across all League of Legends franchises as teams struggle to find the perfect team immediately. Also, they have a SuperLiga roster too.
Moreover, the belief in Spanish talent could open new and exciting doors for players who wouldn’t otherwise have the opportunity.
Accordingly, each region for competitive LoL is slowly concluding its Summer 2022 split. Indeed, many teams are still doing their best to try and make it to Worlds. Bearing this in mind, the KT Rolster LCK Roster 2022 is trying a new player – read on to learn more!

Without a doubt, League of Legends is one of the most popular esports in the industry. Accordingly, every esport has its regions and it’s always exciting to figure out which region stands on top – read on as we discuss LoL Esports while ranking the top regions!
LoL Esports 2022 – Listing the Top Regions
Ever since 2012/3, Riot Games has been building a global phenomenon in the form of LoL esports.
Since the early days, it was always clear which regions were more invested compared to others and based on this, Riot Games has invested in franchised structures for the Major regions.
Bearing this in mind, we have all the regions listed below as Major and Other regions:
Major regions:
LEC – Europe
LCK – South Korea
LCS – North America
LPL – China
Other regions:
LJL – Japan
TCL – Turkey
LCO – Australia
PCS – Pacific
CBLOL – Brazil
VCS – Vietnam
LLA – Latin America
Now, let’s focus on the Major regions to figure out who sits on top.
To do so, there are two ways to assess how ‘well’ a region is doing. Moreover, we’ll be focusing our attention on both the viewership/popularity and the competition separately.
Comparing Viewership Among the Top 4
Firstly, let’s kick off by taking a look at the viewership.
Each year, every region has the same format structure with a regional, followed by playoffs and a seed for an international event. This happens through a Spring Split and a Summer Split.
With regards to viewership, we’ll focus our attention on the most recent regular season by ranking peak viewership in the Spring 2022 events including Playoffs.
Accordingly, thanks to Esports Charts, we have the following rankings:
#1 – LCK Spring 2022 – 1,374,155 Peak Viewers, 247,011 Average Viewers
#2 – LEC Spring 2022 – 723,061 Peak Viewers, 270,749 Average Viewers
#3– LCS Spring 2022 – 387,072 Peak Viewers, 123,411 Average Viewers
#4 – LPL Spring 2022 – 212,832 Peak Viewers, 38,749 Average Viewers
Overall, it’s rather clear that LCK is in a league of its own, followed by LEC in terms of viewership. Meanwhile, LCS and LPL aren’t too impressive in comparison.
Which is the Most Competitive Region?
So, we know which is the most popular region, but which region has the best level of competition and produces the top teams?
In order to do so, let’s take a look at the top 4 standings from the last three international events. Naturally, international events are the best opportunity for a region to showcase its global position.
Let’s take a look at them below:
MSI 2022
#1 – Royal Never Give Up – LPL
#2 – T1 – LCK
#3/4 – Evil Geniuses, G2 Esports – LCS, LEC
2021 World Championship
#1 – EDward Gaming – LPL
#2 – DAMWON Gaming – LCK
#3/4 – Gen.G Esports, T1 – LCK, LCK
MSI 2021
#1 – Royal Never Give Up – LPL
#2 – DAMWON Gaming – LCK
#3/4 – MAD Lions, PSG Talon – LEC, PCS
Although the LPL might not have the best viewership, the past three international events have been dominated by the LPL.
Otherwise, second place has always been clenched by LCK in the past year,
LoL Esports 2022 – Naming the Top Region
Balancing the weight of both competition and viewership, there is a clear cut top region for LoL esports.
Bearing this in mind, the LCK, the South Korean region, simply offers the best mix of quality competition and popularity.
Born only two years ago, VALORANT started out as a Riot Games project. Accordingly, the community is incredibly excited for Riot Games Project L – read on as we explain further on this potential esport!
Riot Games Project L – Carving a New Niche?
Accordingly, Project L was originally revealed in 2019. For those unaware, this is Riot Games’ attempt at creating a 2v2 platform fighting game.
Considerably, this is the same genre as titles such as Super Smash Bros by Nintendo and Brawlhalla.
Anyways, here are some details which came out very recently:
Release Date – 2023 at earliest
Champions included are multiplefrom League of Legends – Ahri, Darius, Ekko, Illaioi, Jinx, Katarina
Free to Play
Over the years, Riot has been known to perfect their approach to a niche.
Accordingly, that’s why we’re so excited for this title. Indeed, fighting games esports have always had potential which seemed to lack proper organization and support.
Indeed, we’re also excited because Riot Games will support competitive play and continue supporting the esports industry.
Bearing this in mind, we’ll be sure to stay up to date!
Accordingly, while the LCS franchised league goes on, there’s another competition under the surface. Indeed, Riot Games is hosting the LCS Proving Grounds Summer 2022 – read onhow to watch this League of Legends event below!

Accordingly, first we have our Play-In stage. Here, the bottom 4 LCS Acaemy teams and the 7-10 teams from LCS Proving Grounds Points will compete in a single elimination series of matches.
Each winner of the BO3 matches will progress ot the Playoffs – here are the matches:
Upper Round 1

EG Academy vs CLG Faith
IMT Academy vs DK Crew
Maryville Uni vs TSM Academy
Once these matches are completed. we’ll have our Playoffs to look forward to. Here, the final teams will compete with those who made it from the Play-Ins. Accordingly, a double elimination bracket will sort out the competition.
