Hosted by Riot Games, the competition is headed to the offline Berlin LEC Studio.

Following the Spring 2022 event, the competition is back to compete for the prize pool of €200,000. In addition, and more importantly, apart from the prize pool, there will be seeds for Worlds 2022 on the line too.

As the eight season running for the LEC, we can’t wait to see how the format tries to spice things up.

Naturally, the event will kick off as so many others do – with a Group Stage.

At this first stage, the competitors will fight through a double round robin and each team will play 18 matches after facing each competitor twice. Specifically, all matches are BO1 too.

And of course, afterwards, there’ll be the Playoffs. However, this time around, Championship Points will play a part.

These involves team being awarded points based on their Spring Playoffs and Summer Regular Season performances. These points will contribute to seeding in the Playoffs.

However, if teams finish 7-10th in the Summer event, they will not be awarded any points. Regardless, 1-6th from the Group Stage qualify for the Playoffs.

Once we arrive at the Playoffs, the final six teams will compete in a double elimination competition, with BO5 matches with the prize pool and seeds for Worlds up for grabs.

For those unaware, the LCS Summer Split is soon to start in the coming weeks. Involving all of the teams in the franchised teams, there will be limited spots available for the Split Finals 2022.

Taking place from September 10-11th, this will be the final stop before the regional seeds for Worlds 202 are decided.

Bearing this in mind, the venue has been revealed to be Chicago United Center, as announced by Riot Games.

This is a trend which continues from earlier in the year, with Spring Split Playoffs also enjoying an offline venue and the return of the live crowd to spur the competition on.

Anyways, tickets are soon available for the event as of June 24th.

How to Watch LCK Summer 2022 – teams, format, schedule, streams, predictions

Accordingly, each regional competition for League of Legends is slowly kicking off after the MSI 2022 event. Bearing this in mind, the LCK Summer 2022 is one region many have their eyes on. Kicking off tomorrow, read on as we describe How to Watch this exciting event below!

For those unaware, the LCK Summer 2022 is the sixteenth LCK season. Gathering the top 10 teams in the region, competing in the franchised league, the split aims to determine the very best of the South Korean Region.

Following the Spring Split earlier on, this is the final stop before Worlds 2022.

Taking place offline in the heart of Seoul at LoL PARK, the event will run from 15th June to 28th August. Accordingly, apart from $300,000 on the line, there are also qualification points and a single direct Worlds seed.

Format

Specifically, the event will involve two stages of competition.

Kicking off with the Group Stage, the competition will start with a Double Round Robin. Indeed, that involves teams playing one another twice, with a total of 18 matches for each team, with BO3 matches.

From this stage, only the top 6 teams will progress to the Playoffs, with 1st and 2nd receiving playoff byes into the semifinals.

Accordingly, the Playoffs will then involve a single elimination bracket, with BO5 matches. At this point in time, the first placed team from Group Stage can choose the opponent in the first round.

Otherwise, teams compete with only one lifeline to fight for regional dominance and the single Worlds seed for the winner.

How to Watch LPL Summer 2022 – teams, format, schedule, streams, predictions

After Worlds 2022, we’re ready to dive into the exciting LPL Summer 2022. Indeed, as one of many regional events, there’s a tonne to look forward to. With worldwide seeds up for grabs, read on as we preview the highest level of Chinese LoL esports below!

Kicking off first out of all the regions, all the action will kick off this weekend. Specifically, 10th June is where it all starts, with the 17 best teams in the region will start to compete.

At this point in time, the first hurdle is to qualify for Playoffs besides the $640,000 on the line. To get there, only 10 spots are available.

From the Playoffs, teams will have the opportunity to claim a coveted invite to Worlds 2022 – the biggest event of the year.

Format

With 17 teams, the LPL is the largest region out of the rest.

Accordingly, the format is a little more thorough.

First off, we have the Group Stage. Here, all teams will compete in a single Group with single round robin BO3 matches. Basically, after each team plays each other once, we’ll have our final Group Stage standings.

Seeding into Playoffs for the top 10 will be determined as follows:

  • Top 2 – Semifinals
  • 3-4th – Last Round Playoffs
  • 5-6th – Second Round Playoffs
  • 7-10th – First Round Playoffs

Once at the Playoffs, the format will consists of two stages. Firstly, there’ll be a King-of-the-Hill between the 3-10th seeded team. The winners, half of the teams, will progress to Phase Two and face off against first and second teams – only 4 teams progress.

Here, a final Double Elimination will take place between the final four teams. With BO5 matches, teams will earn the Worlds 2022 seeds up for grabs.

After placing 5th at the Mid-Seasonal Invitational most recently, change is in the works. Specifically, the likes of Lee “Juhan” Ju-han and Park “Bay” Jun-byeong have parted ways with the roster.

For whatever reason, that now leaves the following active roster for the organization:

Bearing this in mind, the event managed to record an impressive peak viewership of 2,194,104 and an average viewership of 588,187 viewers. Accordingly, that makes it the fourth most viewed event in the history of competitive League of Legends:

So, heading into this upcoming Summer Split, the LCS wants to keep up the pace. Indeed, happily announcing that a live crowd will continue to be adapted – a great announcement.

Bearing this in mind, ticket sales are already live with the competition set to return on June 17th – roughly 2 weeks away.

Otherwise, we also have news regarding the format and schedule.

In terms of format, the split will enjoy eight weeks of double round robin. Both Weeks 1 and 8 will flank the season with epic ‘Super Weeks’ – more games to fuel the fire.

At the end of the split, the top 3 teams will book their ticket to the 2022 World Championship international event.
