Putting everything on the line, this was also an opportunity for teams to try out new regions.

Here, the top 24 teams from across all of China – both the LDL and LPL offered up teams together with 4 amateur teams.

As always, we love to recap our winner’s journey – it was very difficult here. Accordingly, seeded in Group A, the Winners from last year had to fight for a single Playoffs spot.

Here Top Esports had to win the first seed to progress – they did so by winning a tiebreaker against Team WE. Following this, they reached the Quarterfinals.

Seeded against Royal Never Give Up, they then swept Royal Never Give Up.

It was then, in the Semifinals, that they swept Invictus Gaming. However, smooth sailing ended in the Finals, as Top Esports squeezed out a victory from FunPlus Phoenix, making them champions once again.

What better way to kick off a season than a pre-season event? Accordingly, the 2022 LCS Lock-In is an awesome event taking place in January. However, Riot Games has already announced groups for this event. Read on as we reveal the 2022 LCS Lock-In Groups below!

For those unaware, the LCS Lock-In 2022 tournament will feature all 10 teams from the LCS fighting for a $150,000 prize pool. Taking place from 14th January to 30th January, Riot Games drew the following Groups:

  • Immortals

What importance to these groups play? Specifically, the event kicks off with a Group Stage. At this point, only 4 teams from each group will progress to the Playoffs.
