The Thai roster kicked things off with a bang at the PM World Invitational. The first round was nothing too special, as they placed 5th with 10 eliminations. However in the rounds that followed, the team performed extremely well. In the second round they placed 3rd with 4 kills, and in the 3rd round they placed 2nd with 8 eliminations.

Round 4 and 5 were some of their best games, winning both with 14 and 11 eliminations respectively. It wasn’t until round 10 when they got their 3rd win of the event, this time round with 12 kills. Rounds 11,12, and 15 were all 2nd placements, but they had a lot of kills to compensate. Then, in the 17th round, the team once again pulled off an exceptional performance, grabbing the chicken dinner with 10 eliminations to their name. To end things off, the team placed 2nd in the 19th round, which got them some extra final points needed to seal the victory.

By the end of all the matches, VAL won the entire thing with 287 points, having a 63 point gap separating them from 2nd place.

Peacekeeper Elite Championship 2021 Postponed – To When?

Unfortunately, it was just announced that the Peacekeeper Elite Championship 2021 was just delayed. Due to health reasons, the event simply could not be held as announced earlier today. Read on for the full update below!

Peacekeeper Elite Championship 2021 Postponed – Why?

PUBG Mobile Viewership
Credits: PUBG Corporation

Indeed, the event was originally going to be held later this month. Specifically, July 31st was the proposed date for the Chinese event. Accordingly, that is why the game is being played on Peacekeeper Elite. This is the Chinese port of the original PUBG Mobile title.

Officially, the main reason behind the delay is due to health. What exactly is going on? Currently, nothing, but this is a preventive call. Notably, due to worries of an emergency national state, the event is being called off. Instead of the PEC, we now have a new event to look forward to.

Namely, at the same time and day, the Peace Elite Super Cup 2021 will now take place. Beyond competition, there will also be ‘star artists’ showing up at the event bearing in mind the measures being upheld.

Otherwise, no future is certain for the PEC so far. We have this replacement event, and maybe we’ll have an announcement shortly.

Natus Vincere kicked off the event with an amazing start. They did so because they won the first match with 18 kills, and another win just after that, but with 11 kills. This got them a huge advantage from the beginning and were way ahead of any other team in the standings.

Then in Round 11, they got their third win, 15 eliminations, and they also won the round after that with 13 kills. In round 13 they weren’t as lucky, as they got eliminated early, but they got their revenge in the following games. Round 14 and Round 16 were crucial for sealing the win as they won the 14th round with 7 kills, and the 16th with 15.

After these rounds they continued to get high placements, as well as grabbing a couple more kills. In the end they finished the tournament with 301 points, having a 48 point gap from 2nd place.

Concluding thoughts

It’s fair to say that just by looking at their results in their initial matches, as well as their matches in the middle of the event, Na’Vi were just unstoppable. They had an insane lead from the beginning, and they kept the momentum throughout the tournament.

Aerowolf LIMAX banned from PUBGM competitions till end of 2022 season

Tencent has just announced that Indonesian team Aerowolf LIMAX are banned from all PUBGM (Mobile) competitions. Here is their announcement:

Translated statement:

“Effective immediately, Aerowolf LIMAX will be deprived of its rights to participate in PUBG MOBILE leagues around the world until December 31, 2022. This is a reaction to Aerowolf LIMAX’s mismanagement that has caused a costly financial loss to the professional players on this team.

PUBG MOBILE will always advocate for a fair and healthy ecosystem for professional players to thrive and grow with us. We have zero tolerance for unfair treatment of players by team owners and managers in the ecosystem.

In the meantime, we will continue to update our rules and tools to uphold our values and to protect the well-being of professional PUBG MOBILE players.

Thanks for your attention, that’s all.”

Aerowolf LIMAX banned from PUBGM competitions – Why?

According to their statement above, Tencent are banning Aerowolf LIMAX due to a “mismanagement”. This caused “a costly financial loss to the professional players on this team”. Tencent has not clearly identified the direct reason for this “financial” ban. However one can suspect that Aerowolf management did not hold their end of the bargain, and not pay its players.

How long is the ban?

As mentioned in the first paragraph, Tencent has imposed a ban till the 31st of December of 2022. This means that it’ll be quite a long time since we’ll see the Aerowolf LIMAX banner once again on the server.

This is certainly a great move by Tencent, as they are punishing the mistreatment of the professional players. We don’t often see orgs abuse their players, however, it should always be taken care of if any are present.
