This morning, T1 has announced that they are parting ways with their current PUBG Mobile roster. This is their announcement:
T1 parting ways with PUBG Mobile roster – Why?
In their statement, T1 are not clear as to what made the decision clear to disband the roster. However, if we had to look at the squad in recent competitions, we can conclude that the team did not have the best results, especially for a team as prestigious as T1. Here are some of their latest placings:
With not even a single top 3 placement in the past few events theyβve had, we can be certain that this was the main reason for the squadβs departure.
T1 are parting ways with the following roster:
Players:
Kim βMissileβ Joon Soo
Beak βYEONJUNβ Yeon Jun
Han βZZPβ Jung Wook
Jeon βSaydenβ Min Jae
Pado
Coach:
Janchi
Whatβs next for T1?
Weβre sure that T1 would not like to step away from PUBG Mobile completely. The next step for T1 is to analyze the next step forward in getting a championship winning team, to start getting some results on the board.
We here at Esportsguide will definitely be covering the move when it eventually happens. So be sure to stay tuned on www.esportsguide.com for all your important esports news!
While we did offer a How to Watch type article earlier, new details have unfolded. Accordingly, since then we know have insight to how the PUBG Mobile Global Championship Finals will take place. With this news and bearing in mind the phenomenal success the event has already found, it’s only fitting. Here is how to watch!
Event Background
Since kicking off on the 24th November, the PUBG Mobile Global Championship had many promises to fulfill. Indeed, it did. Acting as the biggest mobile esports event of the year and one of the largest general esports events too, the sky is the ceiling heading into 2021. If that’s not enough, the $2,000,000 on the line has also helped generate the peak of 568,623 achieved already.
Without further delay, here are the 16 teams that have made it to the PUBG Mobile Global Championship Finals:
Four Angry Men
Bigetron RA
RRQ Athena
KoninaPower
Klas Digital Athletics
Secret Jin
Futbolist
Nova Esports
POWER888 KPS
Abrupt Slayers
A7 eSports
ZEUS ESPORTS
Natus Vincere
Aerowolf LIMAX
Team Secret
A1 eSports (made it in following Loops Esports disqualification)
We started with 24 to now only have 16 left in contention.
Format
Up until now, we’ll remind our readers that a League Stage made up of two components have already taken place. Now, from an online format, we’re headed to offline venues in Dubai, UAE or Maldives to minimize any ping disadvantage.
We’ll be listing updates to the format once they are available.
Point System – Unchanged from the Earlier Stage
Kill points – 1 per kill
1st – 15
2nd – 12
3rd – 10

Who will be our inaugural PUBGMobileGlobalChampionship champion? That is quite a difficult question to answer, but I’ll try my best to go off what we have. Before diving into the League Standings prior to this stage, not that the presents of ping disadvantage makes the results perhaps slightly less legitimate.
Then again, I highly doubt ping can throw any shade over Four Angry Men – the clear favourites. Despite a slower week 1 and 3, the squad came into their own especially in Week 4. It was here that they managed to claim a 60+ point advantage after the Super Weekend was over! Multiple victories and many 10+ kill games is what put the team head and shoulders above the competition thanks to an incredible 211 point week!
Moving down the leaderboard, this is where things get much tighter. Indeed, I think it’s best to list the remaining competition according to Tiers, respecting points achieved.
Tier 2
Bigetron RA
RRQ Athena
KoninaPower
Klas Digital Athletics
All four of these teams where constantly on the cusp of greatness. Specifically, Bigetron where on the path to claiming first place, but failed to as 4AM blew them out of the water in Week 4. Earning 85 points next to he leader’s 211 in the final round pushed them to second place. I’ve got a gut feeling that Bigetron won’t let that happen again at the Finals.
Meanwhile, the remaining three remained consistent threats and managed to gain 100+ each week to put them in this Tier of candidates for victory.
Tier 3
Secret Jin
Futbolist
Nova Esports
POWER888 KPS
Abrupt Slayers
You’re probably thinking to yourselves that Tier 3 don’t really have a shot at winning. However, it’s this tier of teams that are most likely to improve heading into the Finals. A trend here is a record of three strong weeks with one messed up one, throwing them down the leaderboard. Bearing in mind the nature of battle royale, this could be accredited to bad luck. Any of these teams, especially Secret Jin, could make a run for it should they smoothen out their performance.
Tier 4
Abrupt Slayers
A7 eSports
ZEUS ESPORTS
Natus Vincere
Aerowolf LIMAX
Team Secret
A1 eSports
On the other end, Tier 4 is a lot less likely to claim the win. Regardless, they are all respectable competitors that have earned their way to make it this far. Who knows what could happen on game day?
This past year we saw PUBG Mobile Esports dominate the Mobile Esports scene. This year for 2021, they have brighter and newer plans to continue working on expanding their amazing esport. Here are the PUBG Mobile 2021 plans
Looking Back to PUBG Mobile Esports in 2020
2020 saw the establishment of a global esports system for PUBG Mobile. A variety of leagues for all types of players, from all over the world. In 2020, PUBG Mobile Esports reached nearly 100 million hours of watchtime, and also hit a new record of peak concurrent viewers (1.1 million) during the World League in Summer. They also had over 120,000 teams registering to participate in the PMCO League, competing for a total of 5 million USD in prize pool.
What are the PUBG Mobile 2021 plans?
In 2021, the PUBG Mobile Esports spectrum will expand into more leagues. The leagues are as follows: CIS, Turkey, Western Europe, Arabia, North America, Latin America, and Brazil. This way, the PUBG Mobile Pro League, will pretty much cover the major regions all over the world.
The 2021 PUBG Mobile season will still feature 2 seasons of PMCO (PUBG Mobile Club Open) and PMPL (PUBG Mobile Pro League), and it will also include the PUBG Mobile Global Championship at the end of the year. The main difference with this yearβs season is that PUBG Corporation is introducing the Summer Invitationals, which are intended to take place in Q2 of 2021.
PUBG Mobile Esports Prize Pool for 2021
For this brand new year of PUBG Mobile, there will be a huge amount of $14,000,000 USD to be distributed throughout the year. Reaching almost 3 times as much as they had in 2020.
Weβve already seen the popularity that a game like PUBG Mobile brings. Now with more stakes and bigger opportunities, it is certain that PUBG Mobile and Mobile Esports in general, will continue to grow.

With the advent of the PUBGMobileGlobalChampionship this year, we’re excited for PUBG Mobile. Indeed, before concluding, the event has already amassed immense viewership. That got us thinking – what’s next for the mobile esport? In this episode of Esports Roadmap, we’ll be looking at PUBG Mobile Esports 2021!
PUBG Mobile Esports 2021 – Dialling it Up
I don’t think any fans are complaining about how 2020 went. Accordingly, heading into next year, not much seems to be changing at its core. Tencent seems to be simply focusing on increasing the prize pool. Bearing this in mind, a total of $14 million is on the line for the year of 2021!
Let’s summarize some of the essential facts about the structure for next year:
Lowest level – PUBG Mobile Clup Open – based on regions at an amateur to semi-pro level
Next level – PUBG Mobile Pro League (PMPL) for larger regions into single events
Top level – the Global Championship putting the best of the best against one another
Note that new individual regions will be present this year, as the ‘Americas’ and ‘EMEA’ regions have split into many separate leagues.
Take a look at this in-depth video from PUBG Mobile themselves for the full scoop:
A Slight Change in Progression
For next year, World Leagues will not be making a return. Seeding into the Global Championship will come directly from the Pro League for PUBG Mobile Esports 2021.
We’re excited to see PUBG Mobile keeping up the pace and giving the fans more.
A point of contention in the competitive PUBGMobilescene is regarding Loops Esports. Indeed, events circling this team have lit up the global headlines. Concluding on the 20th December, the organization staged a protest which led to Loops Esports Disqualified from the entire event. So what happened?
It all took place in the very last game of the PMGCLeague. After the esports team management prevented their team captain of Michael “DadiN” Barboza, the remaining players decided to take action. Landing in a Church in Erangel, the players proceeded to sit in a circle aimlessly, not offering any resistance to their opponents. Notably, one player on the team carried on playing regardless.
Accordingly, the players felt confident doing this due to their 6th place position in the leaderboard. That didn’t stop Tencent from immediately pushing them out – Loops Esports disqualified as they broke certain regulations. Just like that, every other team in the leaderboard beneath them gained one spot, with A1 Esports moving on thanks to them. Also, Loops Esports will not be claiming any prize too.
Are we justifying what happened? Nope and neither are we condemning it. Protests in esports are commonplace due to how difficult it can be as a competitor and mistreatment can arise. Bearing this in mind, we’re definitely interested to see how the future of these players unrolls from this point onwards. This is the first protest for PUBG Mobile ever.
Regardless, the PUBG Mobile Global Championship Finals are going to take place in a month – an event we’re very excited for.
Indeed, for the past few weeks, the PUBGMobileGlobalChampionship has been absorbing our attention. Accordingly, the inaugural iteration of the event, with its $2,000,000 is already surpassing expectations in many regards – with a planned end date for 24th January. Bearing this in mind, Tencent has just announced that the PUBG Mobile Global Championship Finals is headed to Dubai!
Finally, no more uncertainty remains. Recently, the 4 weeks of league stage rounded off and we have our top 16 teams. Here are the 16 top teams heading to the League Finals in order of seeding:
Four Angry Men
Bigetron RA
RRQ Athena
KoninaPower
Klas Digital Athletics
Secret Jin

ZEUS ESPORTS
Natus Vincere

The PUBG Mobile Global Championship Finals will run from January 21-24th, held in Dubai in an offline manner. From what’s been understood, it seems that the Coca-Cola Arena will be serving the community, offering a potential capacity of 17,000.
In terms of format, it’s quite simple. The listed 16 teams will all be thrown into one group. Furthermore, several rounds will be played with the same points system as seen throughout the entire event.
Indeed, with the event already reaching a peak viewership of 568,623, the sky is the ceiling for the Finals!

Unfortunately, we saw a disappointing performance from both Bigetron RA and NOVA Esports, as they are currently placed in the bottom 3 of the leaderboard. This year, Tencent took a gamble by investing further in the region of Japan. Indeed, their investment bore fruit and now, Tencent looks to dive deeper into the scene through the franchised PUBG Mobile Japan League. With a prize pool of $2.9 million, here are the announced 16 teams taking part!
By entering the franchised format, a tonne of benefits will be present. To begin with, the minimum salary for all players is set to provide everyone with job stability. Also notably, teams can build up to seven participants, with a max of 2 foreigners.
Accordingly, with the PUBGMobileGlobalChampionship ongoing and being a massive success, one begins to contemplate PUBGMobileas an esport. The incredibly successful title is starting to be considered the top competitive mobile game out there right now. Now is the perfect time to invest in more franchised leagues such as the PUBGMobile Japan League.
Having only a taster of the PMJL from the Season 0 event this year, I can say that we’re ready for more starting in January with Stage 1 of Season 1.
