It’s always tough to predict the outcome of battle royale, due to the random nature at times. Let’s try shortlist some of our picks to perform well at the event for each region!

Europe

  • FaZe Clan
  • Natus Vincere
  • Virtus.pro
  • TORNADO ENERGY

The above four are the top 4 teams from the EU Closed Qualifier Stage 2. Both FaZe Clan and Natus Vincere truly crushed it in this regard with the other two following them closely. Also, note that the larger prize pool for this region will contribute to stronger competition.

  • Team Veritas
  • Susquehanna Soniqs
  • Latin Dominus
  • A Creche

Meanwhile, the above teams are the pair of leaders from both regions of Latin and North America separately.

PUBG Tips and Tricks – A Practical Guide

Indeed, PlayerUnknowns Battlegrounds is known as one of the first battle royale’s in the modern wave behind the trend. Accordingly, its release back in 2017 saw the genre finally get back on track. Three years later, the game is still quite lively together with a healthy competitive scene. For these reasons, we highly recommend that you check out our PUBG Tips and Tricks below!

Mechanical Skill

Although the title can be played on both PC and console, apart from mobile, the main competitive scene is found on PC. Therefore, our tips will focus on mechanical skills pertaining to keyboard and mouse. Similar to titles such as Rainbow Six Siege and CS:GO, headshots are the name of the game here.

PUBG Tips and Tricks
Credits: PUBG Corporation

Here are our PUBG Tips and Tricks for the game:

  • Peeking – the underutilized in-game mechanic can really change your game up. Staying in cover and peeking with just the top of your head showing is great for any gunfight and is recommended for every single fight possible
  • Naturally, we need to talk about aim. As a serious player, you’ll need your aim to be flawless and purely mechanical. This can come about naturally through simple practice, though we also recommend that you use aiming software. Also, definitely experiment with sensitivity and peripherals.
  • Movement – getting in between cover is the name of the game for battle royale. You don’t wanna be getting picked off after scavenging so hard. Mastering the movement will come secondary to your aim.
  • Memorize your inventory – when your swapping guns and items out, you’ll need to be as quick as possible. Accordingly, this can save your life in the heat of battle when your desperate for ammo. Take your time to practice being as quick and efficient as possible.
  • Master the driving mechanisms of every vehicle – you never know when you’ll need it

In-Game Knowledge and Awareness

As a battle royale, knowledge and awareness definitely come first. Most people can aim, but not everyone has the game-sense to claim that chicken dinner. Here, tips would be similar as for the mobile title in this regard.

PUBGERS
Credits: PUBG Corp

Read on for our In-Game Knowledge and Awareness section of our PUBG Tips and Tricks:

  • Combining aim together with distance judgement – you’ll want to practice how to consider the drop-off due to the gravity. Likely, this will develop with experience.
  • Knowing every nook and cranny of each map. Accordingly, you’ll be prepared for any opportunity and be aware of any possibility as the circle could conclude. You’ll also want to know where the best loot is in order to best calculate where to land when you need to.
  • Knowing which items are the best. With limited space in your backpack, you’ll make sure to know that you only harbour the top equipment for any situation. For this, you’ll want to keep up to date with all the PUBG patch notes.
  • Evaluating the risk behind going for drops. Although they can offer some of the best loot in the game, you need to consider the risk of everyone knowing exactly where you are and potentially in the open too.
  • Knowing when to use vehicles, and the right one too. Many players are often to scared to venture onto a vehicle as this could draw attention. It does, but most of the time, many people are too worried to shoot you as they would inevitably draw attention to themselves. If you’re brave enough, vehicle use could be the difference between winning and losing.

Personal and Interpersonal – PUBG Tips and Tricks

playerunknown battlegrounds

It’s common knowledge that the random nature of battle royales can be quite infuriating for both teams, and especially individuals where you cannot get revived. Bearing this in mind, here are some more PUBG Tips and Tricks:

  • When in a squad, the concept of reviving comes into play. Even though everyone will be begging for you to revive them, it’s up to you to evaluate whether or not you’ll make it out alive or not.
  • Work with your teammates – cover angles when moving or camping out in any buildings. Accordingly, you’ll also want to share resources with one another to ensure that you’re all prepared for any gunfight. Also, it might be ideal to partition roles – snipers, mid-range and close-range specialists to be prepared for any situation.
  • Stay calm. Battle royales, especially in the final circles, can get incredibly stressful. However, keep in mind that usually, those who make it that far are just as hungry to win as you are.
  • Especially if you’re in a tam, make sure to discuss why you’ve lost or won a game after its completion. Like this you’ll hopefully constantly move forward and learn from your mistakes.

PUBG Continental Series 3 Recap – How did they do it?

PCS NA

In North America, we originally saw team Shoot To Kill leading the pack in the round robin stage, however once the finals stage took place, the Soniqs immediately grasped some points. In fact, the final result had a huge gap between 1st and 2nd, but a very close result between 2nd and 3rd as only 4 points separated them.

NA

PCS EU

A similar situation happened in Europe, as Natus Vincere were 1st in the round robin stage with 241 points, but then came up short in the finals. The Northern Lights Team immediately took advantage of that and this helped them gain a 10 point advantage in the end to secure 1st. Team Liquid and Digital Athletics were close behind with 204 points and 199 points respectively.

EU

PCS Asia

Asia was very different, as there were many teams getting good scores via placement and kills all throughout the event. However in the end, MultiCircle Gaming came out on top after accumulating 210 points in total. Close in second place was team OGN Entus with 193 points and Tianba in 3rd with 182. The top teams had a distinguishable gap between them, but in the midfield there were many teams with very similar amounts of points.

PCS APAC

In Asia Pacific we had team Buriram United Esports completely dominate the region, after achieving a total of 2013 points. However, the fight for 2nd/3rd/4th was gruesome, as the gap between them all was very small. In the end DivisionX came above all 3 as they placed 2nd with 187 points.

Best performing teams at PCS 3

As you can see from the lists above, it is very clear on which teams have performed that best during the PCS 3 qualifying stage. For Europe, it has to be given to Na’Vi, their placements and kill numbers were ridiculous, and were flat out the best team in their region.

As for NA, we’d probably have to hand it over to the Susquehanna Soniqs. Their stealthy movement and wise positioning managed to get them in 2nd place in the North American leaderboard. Here below is one of their highlights:

Best performing players at PCS 3

With regards to the best performing players, we have Luke12, player for STK (Shoot To Kill) currently leading the pack with 75 kills (1st), 36 assists (5th), 14758.56 damage (1st), and 76 knocks (1st). Here below is an image showing the other high performing players in the PCS 3 qualifying stage:

What’s next?

The next stage of the event is the final stage of the event. This is where all qualified teams battle it all out to see which team is the best in their region. The action is set to continue on November 6 at 1AM CET for North America, and November 7 at 6PM CET for Europe.
