Following the finishing of the largest event of the calendar year, the Rainbow Six community can enjoy some off-season. However, we’ve got a bit more discussion to enjoy regarding the event. Accordingly, read on as we discuss the Rainbow Six Invitational 2022 Viewership below!
Rainbow Six Invitational 2022 Viewership – Declining Since 2018
Accordingly, before proceeding we must credit the statistics to Esports Charts.
Anyways, overall, the Six Invitational 2022 Viewership was rather average. Offering an offline environment, the event threw $3,000,000 on the line as one of the largest prizes in the esport ever. However, only a peak viewership of 272,714 was achieved, with an average viewership of 121,582.
For context, here are the viewership trends since the 2018 iteration of the event:
2018 – 316,096 Peak Viewers
2019 – 315,240 Peak Viewers
2021 – 306,494 Peak Viewers
2020 – 303,155 Peak Viewers
2022 – 272,714 Peak Viewers
This likely confirms speculation over the fact that Rainbow Six esports is growing somewhat stale perhaps. Released back in 2015, the title is in need of further innovation for both in-game content and esports structure.
In our last esports tier list, we demoted R6S from a Tier 1 esport to a Tier 2 esport. Considering this viewership, our suspicions were correct. Regardless, we’re optimistic that Ubisoft will sort things out this coming season.
Following the conclusion of the Six Invitational, Ubisoft is excited for the next competitive season of Rainbow Six Siege. Accordingly, the developer dropped the Rainbow Six Year 7 Roadmap. Read on as we discuss all the details below!
Rainbow Six Year 7 Roadmap – Big Plans
Announcing many small changes in the press release, we’re only concerned with the esports. Bearing this in mind, here are some announced dates we’ll be keeping in mind for the upcoming season:
May 2022 – Stage 1 Major in the United States
August 2022 – Stage 2 Major in the United Arab Emirates
November 2022 – Stage 3 Major in Asia
Six Invitational 2023 – Still Unconfirmed Venue
Rainbow Six World Cup – Postponed to 2023
Accordingly, apart from the huge international events, regional competition kicks off on March 9th in the usual regions.
While we’re disappointed by the cancellation of the Rainbow Six World Cup, once again, it’s understandable. Instead, we’re excited to see three Majors announced for the remainder of the the year, which is more than usual.
We’ll be sure to keep you up to date with the upcoming regional competitions shortly.
Heading into the Six Invitational 2022, it was quite clear that the favourites were teams from the South American region. However, concluding this past weekend, that’s not quite how things went down. Read on as we offer a Six Invitational 2022 Recap, highlighting TSM’s championship run!
Six Invitational 2022 Recap – North America is Back
Yes, you heard that right, TSM have taken North America to the very top of competitive Rainbow Six Siege as your international champions!
Yet, the journey wasn’t so smooth to get here. Making it through via a qualifier, and not even Global Standings, they were underdogs from the start.
From the beginning, they showed fight. Seeded into Group C, they managed to sit in the middle f the pack with a 2-0-1-1 record. Seeded into the first round of the Winner Bracket, they then took care of business:
TSM vs Ninjas in Pyjamas (2-0)
FURIA vs TSM (1-2)
TSM vs Team Liquid (2-0)
Until they lost to Team Empire in a 2-1 fashion. Bouncing back by sweeping the favourites in FaZe Clan, they rematched Team Empire in the Grand Final.
Here, they faced their past enemies and took them to four maps, winning 3-1.
With such an incredible storyline, the Six Invitational was simply an epic event – we can’t wait for a new season of competitive Rainbow Six Siege.
Indeed, after a month of competition, it boils down to one last weekend. Accordingly, for those unaware, we’re referring to the Six Invitational 2022 Final Weekend. Bearing this in mind, read on as we preview the exciting final matches.
Six Invitational 2022 Final Weekend – South America Done?
At this stage, we’ve reached the later half of the Double Elimination Bracket. Accordingly, the remaining teams are as follows:
Soniqs
FaZe Clan
MIBR
TSM
Team Empire
Below is the schedule for the final weekend:
February 18th 2022
Soniqs vs FaZe Clan (19:00 CET) – Lower Quarter Finals
February 19th 2022
TSM vs Team Empire (14:00 CET) – Upper Bracket Final
MIBR vs TBD (19:00 CET) – Lower Bracket Semi-Finals
February 20th 2022
Lower Bracket Final (14:00 CET)
Grand Final (19:30 CET)
In terms of favourites, we have to give the edge to Team Empire who have shown some serious dominance since the beginning of the event. We’ll have to see if TSM can hold them back.
If Team Empire do prevail, it would be a great victory for Europe too, with South America taking a step back.

When it comes to making predictions for the event, let’s consider the teams that made it through via the Global Standings.

#1 – Team oNe Esports – LATAM
#2 – Team BDS – EU
#3 – Team Liquid – LATAM
#4 – Ninjas in Pyjamas – LATAM

We could go on with the list, but we’ll stop there.
Beyond the Global Standings, the last time these teams met was at the Six Sweden Major. Here, FaZe Clan, also from LATAM, managed to rise and take the victory for the region.
Will the Six Invitational 2022 be another LATAM victory or will another region step in?

A total of four spots are open to Qualifiers. Joining CYCLOPS athlete gaming from the APAC region, MNM Gaming are a European team ready to contest the international stage.

For the event they’ll be fielding their roster as follows:

Rainbow Six Siege Esports 2022 – Starting with the Six Invitational
Indeed, while many other esports utilize the calendar year as a model, competitive Rainbow Six Siege is a little different. Accordingly, right now the community is buzzing for the upcoming event of the year – the Six Invitational 2022.
Bearing this in mind as the end of the season, Ubisoft hasn’t provided information regarding the regular season to follow.
Anyway, there are two main international events to keep an eye on:

Six World Cup 2022 – Jun 1st to Aug 1st 2022
Yes, for those unaware, the World Cup of 2021 was postponed to next year. Historically being one of the most successful esports events, we’re ecstatic for its return.
Besides these staple events, the regular season will likely start back up in March and continue until the next Six Invitational, offering multiple Majors in between regional leagues such as the Stockholm Major from this past year. The following are some of the main regions to keep track of:
Asia Pacific
Europe
North America
Latin America
With many events planned for offline venues, we can’t wait for the coming year.

Indeed, with the event taking place as soon as a week and a half, here at esportsguide we have you covered with all of the necessary viewership details below!
Event Background
As I’ll reiterate, thiss event is simply a celebration of regional North American competitive Rainbow Six Siege. Bearing this in mind, we have the four best teams, as determined by their performance acros all three stages of competition, heading to an offline event.
With the offline venue to be announced shortly, everyone’s buzzed to see $150,000 thrown on the line for these teams to fight for. From the 11th to the 12th December, we have the following four teams competing for regional dominance:
Read on as we unpack what Ubisoft and FACEIT have organized for us.
Format
With regards to format, it’s a relatively simple format considering the few teams attending this A-Tier event.
Just like the EU region, there’ll be a single-elimination bracket with BO3 matches. For those unaware, a single-elimination bracket implies that all teams will have one chance to proceed further into the competition. One loss sends you home immediately.
Here’s how the format looks like:
Semifinal 1 – Spacestation Gaming vs DarkZero
Semfinal 2 – Oxygen Esports vs Soniqs
Grand Final – Winner of SF1 vs Winner of SF2
With that out of the way, time to dive into the schedule of this event
Schedule for the NAL Finals 2021 R6S
As you can imagine considerign the format, we’re happy to present the entire schedule below:
December 12th
Spacestation vs DarkZero (00:30 CET)
Oxygen Esports vs Soniqs (03:00 CET)

Heading into the Stage 3 Finals, we have a few events to consider with our predictions. Accordingly, let’s start by looking at the Stage 3 season placings with these four teams:
1 – Spacestation Gaming
2 – Oxygen Esports
3 – Soniqs
4 – DarkZero Esports
With this in mind, it’s quite clear that Spacestation Gaming are in fact your favourites for this incoming event.
This also reflects itself in the international standings, as seen at the Six Sweden Major 2021. Here’s how the teams placed there:
5-8th – Spacestation Gaming
9-12th – Soniqs
13-16th – Oxygen Esports
13-16th – DarkZero Esports
Once again we can only reconfirm that Spacestation Gaming are in fact your favourites.
However, that’s where the clarity ends. That’s because second place is quite difficult to predict, as it’ll likely sit between Soniqs and Oxygen Esports. Personally, it’ll likely be Oxygen Esports due to regional success.
In last place, we’re predicting DarkZero Esports to place last here.
Regardless of our predictions, anything can happen. Accordingly, since the Six Stockholm Major certain roster changes have taken place and the game has changed slightly.
Otherwise, we hope to see some great viewership numbers too.
