As the second season of the European League R6 is developing, we’ve been keeping a close eye. Accordingly, the action has been extremely exciting and what’s more – we’re only halfway through. Indeed, like we did for the NA event, we’re offering a halfway update to fill you in!
European League R6 Stage 1 2021 – 4 Playdays Remaining
With 5 playdays out of the way, only 4 remain to complete this season event. For the past few weeks since 18th March, all 10 teams have been fighting through a round robin. With $178,000 on the line, the competition will only heat up towards the end date of April 25th.
Accordingly, here’s how the current standings are looking as of this very moment:
It seems that Natus Vincere are here to play this season, leading the season with a tied 13 points with BDS Esport. While they may be draw, it’s essential to note that in the confrontation between the two, Natus Vincere took an overtime win.
Otherwise, right behind them sit the four contenders all within 2 points of another. Naturally, Rogue, G2 Esports, Coawana Gaming and Team Vitality are looking to contest for the upper half of the leaderboard.
With that being said, things look grim for the remaining teams – if they want a chance to climb the leaderboard, they need to start winning now. We’ll conclude this article with a quick look at the schedule to come:
Kicking off last month, the North American League R6 is the inaugural convergence of the region. Indeed, held offline with a $175,000 prize pool, the event is roughly halfway through. Accordingly, here at esportsguide we’ll be providing a mid-event update in the following event!
North American League R6 – 5 Playdays Remaining
So far, a total of four Playdays have passed – meaning that a total of 16 games have already been played out. Accordingly, most teams have played a minimum of 3 and a maximum of 4 matches. Here’s how the standings currently sit as of today:
I’ll start off by saying; our predictions warning of DarkZero Esports’ reign at the top were correct! Although marginally, they’ve managed to take down all of their opponents with the exception of a loss of Disrupt Gaming.
Otherwise, one thing which is quickly evident is that the Canadian teams seem to occupy the lower half of the leaderboard – only beastcoast seems to be contended with the Americans.
Another observation is Spacestation Gaming. Indeed, while it looks like they may not be performing up to par, not that they suffered a tough Overtime Loss to the likes of TSM who currently sit at second place – winning there could have changed the leaderboard for them.
We’ll conclude this update with a look at the upcoming five playdays – here they are:
Yesterday, Swiss-French player Panix announced that he is retiring from professional RainbowSix. Here is his announcement:
Panix retiring from RainbowSix – Who is he?
25-year-old Dimitri “Panix” de Longeaux had been competing in R6 for quite some time. He started it all in 2015 with team Aera eSport, and eventually went on to play for some more known teams. Most notably: Team Vitality, PENTA Sports, BDS Esports, and Natus Vincere. In his 6-year career, he accumulated an approximate total of $37,279 in esports earnings.
Here are all of Panix’s best achievements in RainbowSix:
4th in Pro League Season 11Europe – 13th April 2020 – $16,000
2nd in Pro League Year 1 Season 3 – Finals – PC – 13th November 2016 – $15,000
1st at Coupe de France 2018 – 24th June 2018 – $13,991
1st in Coupe de France 2017 Finals – 13th May 2017 – $13,116
Along with his retirement announcement, Panix has also released a tribute towards his RainbowSix career, showcasing some of his highlights. You can watch it here:
Why?
In his twitlonger, Panix states that the main reason for his retirement was due to loss of motivation to continue competing. He stated that after his benching from Natus Vincere, he promised to himself that GAMMA Gaming would be his final team before retiring.
Nordic organisation SKADE has announced that they are signing a R6 roster for the 2021 season. Here is their announcement:
Skade signing R6 Roster – Why enter Rainbow Six?
As stated in their article, SKADE has always kept an interest towards the Rainbow Six Siege scene. They have evaluated all their options and have finalised that they wanted to pick up this fearsome mix-team.
Here’s the official SKADE R6 lineup:
Lio “Liyero“ Garts
Jošt “Drater“ Celar
Riccardo “RaiDeN“ Antoni
Jakub “Royal“ Engel
Yanis “Hirox“ Boehrer
Joining alongside these players are Valerio Massimo “vvvalemax” Moretti as the team’s manager, Simo “Mesiveloni” Anderson as their strategic coach and as analyst they’ve brought on Harrison “Manny” Croad.
This is what Kim-Erik Aanes, CEO of SKADE, had to say about the signing:
“We got our hands on this Nordic Championship spot some time ago, and I’m glad the cat is finally out of the bag. RB6 fits our profile as we aim to bring our followers as much FPS action as we possibly can. This is a strong squad and with solid backing I think they can go all the way.”
The team’s first tournament together will be the Nordic Championship 2021, taking place next week on the 24th of March. They will be going up against solid teams like Chaos Esports, Granit Gaming, Riddle Esports, as well as Ambush Esport. It will most certainly be a tough challenge for the newly formed lineup, but with dedication and quick adaptation, we’re sure the team will head in the right direction!
If you’ve been paying attention to the recent drama in the Rainbow Six scene, you know what went on with Team Vitality and it’s lineup. Here’s everything you need to know about the Vitality R6 roster changes:
Who are they parting ways with?
In their main announcement, Vitality revealed that they are parting ways with Daniel “Goga” Mazorra Romero, Fabian “Fabian” Hällsten and Lucas “Hungry” Reich. The main reason for these changes were due to things “not clicking” for the team. This is very clear in their recent results at the 1st and 2nd stage of the league in Europe.
First, @Gogaqt & @FabianHallsten are being moved out of the active line-up. They are extremely talented, but sadly things didn't click. Tryouts were conducted to see if a new project could be built around them, but proved unsuccessful, therefore leading to this hard decision. pic.twitter.com/8itFf1mKfA
The sad part about this news is that the players departing are or might head into retirement. Goga has already made it public on a twitlonger he released, and Fabian said that it will probably happen in the next 3 months or so. Sad news for not only their fans, but the entire R6 scene.
Vitality R6 roster changes – Who are the new additions?
With regards to the new players to the team, Vitality have announced that they are bringing on P4, Shiinka, and Kaktus to the team. Apart from these players, Vitality have also added Robz as team manager.
This is how the updated Vitality R6 lineup is looking like:
Virtus.pro have announced that they are adding on Karzheka as a fifth man for their R6 lineup. Here below is their announcement:
Virtus.Pro adding Karzheka to R6 – Who is he?
22-year-old Eugene “karzheka” Petrishin is an Estonian R6 professional player. He started his career in 2016 with E2 Esports and then went on to play for teams like forZe, Empire, and most recently, Rogue. It’s fair to say that most of his success came alongside his teammates on TeamEmpire. In all of his 5 years competing, he has accumulated an approximate total of $161,775 in esports earnings.
Here are some of Karzheka’s best achievements in R6:
2nd at Six Invitational 2019 – 17th February 2019 – $320,000
1st in Six Major Raleigh 2019 – 18th August 2019 – $200,000
1st at Pro League Season 9 – Finals – 19th May 2019 – $100,000
What’s next?
After a disappointing finish early on in the year during the European League 2020 Finals, this is a perfect opportunity for the team to bounce back. With Karzheka’s experience, the team will undoubtedly improve, and with Stage 1 of the European league so close to kicking off, VP have to adapt quickly in order to get solid results.

With the European and North American Leagues creeping, competitive Rainbow Six Siege fans are excited! Yet, there’s even more to think about as teams such as Damwon Gaming and now, T1 are diving into the competitive scene. Read on to learn why the T1RainbowSixSiegeRoster is a big deal for the esport.
T1 Rainbow Six Siege Roster – Why is this good news?
It’s simple. As we’ve discussed here many times on esportsguide, especially for our esports tier lists, the activity within an esports has many metrics. One of these is determined by interest from organizations. Indeed, usually, many organizations diving into an esport is a promising sign.
Specifics to the Roster – Acquiring OhHamMa
Entirely, the roster has been acquired from the former team of OhHamMa. Accordingly, these are the five players on the squad:
Wonil “iLeven” Cha
Daeyeong “Demic” Kim
Jeongwoo “r3plicA” Kim
Heonseong “Yeti” Lim
Sangeun “Vamos” Kang
This roster has shown great signs – last year placing 3-4th at the Korean Open 2020 Winter Finals to take home a decent amount of prize pool. Hopefully, under this new organization, they can take home some championship wins. We’ll be keeping a close eye on them.
Across the coming month, competitive Rainbow Six Siege is ramping up. Accordingly, a RainbowSixSiegeLeague will take place across two regions for the entire world to enjoy. Indeed, in this episode of How to Watch we’ll be giving you all of the details you need for both events together and separately!
Event Background
So, to begin with, here are some key differences between the two events which we need to point out immediately:
NA – 3rd March up until 29th April – $125,000 – 9 teams
EU – 18th March up until 25th April – $125,000 – 10 teams
The stakes are massively high for each event. Over in Europe, the action will pick up from last year and over in North America, it’s the first piece of action since the merging with the Canadian League.
Bearing that in mind, we’ll now list the participating teams for both competitions.
Participants for the European League 2021 – Stage 1

Format
In terms of format, each regular season will involve a single round robin format with BO1 matches. Points will involve a win giving 3 points, an overtime win 2 points and an overtime loss 1 point.
With regards to prize, besides the prize, it seems that the Top 4 from each event will allow those teams to seed for the Six Major event.
Schedule for the 2021 Rainbow Six Siege Leagues NA & EU
With how expansive both leagues are, it would be very difficult to discuss the schedule for the 2021 Rainbow Six Siege League for both seasons. Regardless, here are some tweets which should clear things up:

Naturally, we’ll have to split predictions with respect to each region. We’ll dive into that immediately.
North American League Predictions
This one is definitely tough due to the merging of the leagues.
While they were entirely separate leagues, many in the community vouch for the US league as being more competitive. In this corner, based on the last results we have from last year give us an idea over who sits on top. Accordingly, DarkZero Esports will look to uphold their winning reputation and their first place finish last year.
Over on the Canadian side of things, Mirage look to try and fight with the US side of the competition – it’ll be interested to see exactly how the two different regions interact with one another.
European League Predictions
Also based on the Stage 2 event of last year, BDS Esport needs to return to form and defend their throne from last year’s final event. However, with so much time having passed since, they might not still be at the top. Unlike the North American League, the competition is a lot more familiar here – old rivalries look likely to come back to life.
The Team Secret RainbowSiegeSiege roster has suffered from some ups and downs in the past few months. Accordingly, it was no surprise when the European organization announced a sizeable roster change, bringing in two new faces. Let’s dive right in!
Team Secret Rainbow Six Siege – The New Roster
The team has picked up “SlebbeN” and “Gomfi” for this next season, both players coming from Susquehanna Soniqs after being inactive since December.
Although neither achieved anything incredible on their former roster, the new blood with this players could help propel this team to greatness.
Accordingly, we’ll have a chance to see the team in acction at the European League 2021 Stage 1 event kicking off on March 18th. Do they have enough time to be prepared? It’s certainly dubious, yet hopefully everything falls into place for the young roster.
After finishing 7th at the European League last year and 6th in the second stage, the organization is looking for improved results this time around. The two former players of “Lazzo” and “Omerta” have indeed parted ways with the roster while “Titan” is now the Head Coach for this squad.
Heading closer to the European League Stage 2, we’ll be offering all of the viewership details for our readers in order to properly enjoy the event.
Following a disappointing run in the Regular Season of the Brasileirão 2020, FaZe have chosen to acquire 4 new players from the winning MiBR roster. This means that their lineup for 2021 is as follows:
Ofcourse, with the acquisition of the 4 new members, FaZe had to part ways with the other 4 players. With this roster move, FaZe have parted ways with the following:
João “yoona” Gabriel Nerici
Ronaldo “ion” Osawa
Vinícius “live” dos Santos
Eduardo “KDS” Santos
What’s next?
Obviously FaZe have a lot of high expectations heading into the 2021 season. With the Stage 1 of the Brasileirão 2021 kicking off in 2 weeks time, on the 20th of March, the new lineup is pressured into adapting as quickly as possible to get solid results off the get-go.
This will certainly not be an easy challenge for both the player and organization, but we’ll have to see how it all plays out when the time comes. Visit www.esportsguide.com for more esports news!
