It has been reported that popular Esports organization FaZe Clan are interested in entering Rocket league as their next Esport title. Here is what we know.
FaZe Clan entering Rocket League – How?
The tweet above, posted by esports newsperson Jake Lucky clearly indicates leaked plans from Femio, Vice President of Content & Production at FaZe Clan. In the middle of the leaked calendar plans, is a clear sign of “Rocket League Announcement Video”. As the leak suggests, the video announcement should’ve released on the 25th of February. However, with this information being leaked, the announcement as well as the video might’ve gotten a slight delay.
As rumoured in a previous report, the lineup that FaZe will be picking up is the Jamal Jabary squad. The team consists of the following members:
Players:
Eli “Toastie” Nichols
Logan “Lj.” Wilt
Trentin “Kraziks” Wade
Substitute:
Noah “desi”
Coach
Kais “Sadjunior” Zehri
Why is this big news?
If you’ve familiarized yourself with the esports industry, you’ll come to realize that FaZe Clan is one of, if not the biggest esports and gaming organization in the world. FaZe Clan kicked off as a viral sniping team and has developed into this dominant team. To be fully truthful, they haven’t had their best moments recently, with the CS:GO team going through a complete rehaul, and their VALORANT roster barely keeping up with the top 10 North American teams.
Delay or not, rumour or not, this is still huge news for the Rocket League community and we can’t wait to see how it all plays out.

How did they do it?
Due to their current point ranking, Team BDS was already placed into the Winners Quarterfinals. Here they met with team Galaxy Racer, and beat them 3-1 to get into the Winners Semifinals. This is where they matched up against the strong team of Vitality, which gave them a challenge in their best of 7 series. In the end, Team BDS were stronger and won that series 4-3.
With that win, they progressed onto the Winners Finals versus the fearsome Dignitas squad. Despite being one of the favourites at the RLCS X Winter European Major, Dignitas fell short and lost 4-1. In the meantime, Team Vitality was slowly climbing up the ranks of the lower bracket, and eventually made it into the Grand Final.
Grand Final
With both teams ready as ever to take the title, the Grand Final took off. Vitality started it all with a win of their own, where BDS fired back rapidly. Vitality answered back with 2 of their own, and were sitting at series and tournament point. However Team BDS did all they could to bounce back, and somehow won 3 straight games in a row to be crowned as winners of the Winter European Major. This is how it ended:
The RLCS X Winter European Major was an excellent showing of the talent that Europe has when it comes to Rocket League. Team BDS have been on a streak of victories since 2021 started, and we can’t wait to see a whole lot more of them in the events to come!

They have recently won week 4 of the Grid, as well as the EU Regional event 3. Team BDS are the clear favourites for this event, but with so many talented teams, nothing is certain! eUnited have just announced that they are immediately parting ways with WondaMike. Here is their video announcement:
Who is WondaMike?
Michael “WondaMike” Santoriello is 16 years of age, and kicked off his astonishing career in Rocket League last year. He first started with team Absolute Leverage, and then moved on to represent the Charlotte Phoenix roster as a stand-in. Then in July he was offered a permanent position on the eUnited squad, and he took it. Unfortunately his best result with the team was a 5th-8th placement at the RLCS Season X – Fall: NA Regional Event 3, falling short to SpaceStation Gaming.
eUnited parts ways with WondaMike – Why?
In their announcement video, their general manager, Matthew Potthoff addresses that the reason for this move is because of a very bad period for their Rocket League team. After some time of discussion between the management and coaches, they saw it fit to mutually part ways with WondaMike. They are now contacting several organizations and teams to try and find Michael a new home.
Rocket League can be a tough esport at times, mainly because it not only requires the skill to make it into the big leagues, but you also need the consistency and chemistry within the team. We’re sure that Michael has a future within Rocket League, but unfortunately it won’t be with eUnited. Visit www.esportsguide.com for more esports news!
That’s right, Fennec Esports decals are coming to Rocket League in its upcoming update, due on the 1st of February Here is their announcement:
Fennec Esports decals coming to Rocket League – Why is this big news?
There have been tons of new additions to Rocket League in terms of cars over the past year. However nothing hit the market just like the Fennec did. The car itself has a similar hitbox to the octane and a similar layout to the dominus, to a certain extent. The vehicle itself isn’t overpowered, but since its release, the Fennec has been one of the most popular models, even in Esports matches.
Back in early 2020, Rocket League introduced the esports shop, which featured several customization options to the cars used in the game. Most notably, team-related wheels, banners, and even decals for the Octane and Dominus. And now finally, the highly anticipated Esports decals for the Fennec car model are releasing!
Here below is an image of how the Fennec Esports decals will look like:
Is that all the news?
No that’s not all. Along with the new set of decals for the Fennec, Rocket League will also have a new and revamped Esports shop. Previously, the esports shop was on a rotation. Which meant that players would have to wait for that particular week to purchase items from their favourite teams. This new shop will allow Rocket League Esports fans to support them via purchases whenever they want, as every team has its shop open 24/7.

Yesterday, Dignitas announced that they are rebranding fully, and changing their appearance. This is what their new logo looks like:
Dignitas rebranding – Origins
Many Dignitas fans felt nostalgic after seeing the newest rebrand due to the original logo being so iconic. When they first announced their rebrand back in 2018, many felt shook and outraged that they would change such a logo. Nevertheless, the Owl was loved by huge fans of Dignitas, and overtime it felt like it truly was a part of Dignitas.
One of the best parts of this rebrand is that Dignitas are choosing to keep their Black and Yellow layout.
With this rebranding, Dignitas paid homage to the Evil Geniuses rebranding, where they went into detail on what their logo meant.

This is what their management had to say about the rebranding:
“The return of Digi is a thrilling moment for the entire Dignitas organization and one we’re confident will excite our current fan base while reengaging idle fans that have long awaited the return of a legendary icon. The reimagined Digi is an original emotive mascot to the world of gaming and esports that will stimulate storytelling and emotional narratives, while becoming an asset unique solely to Dignitas.“
Here in 2021, we’re seeing a lot of teams and organizations rebranding, which is actually for the better. A new year means new beginnings, and we cannot wait for what Dignitas has in store for us this year.

Klassux announcing return to Rocket League – Who is Klassux?
21-year-old Jason “Klassux” Klass kicked off his Rocket league career in 2015, when he was playing for Galaxy blue. He’s been on numerous rosters, most notably, Mock-it Esports NA, Ghost Gaming, Evil Geniuses, and most recently, Randy Gibbons’ River Rats. His best career moments were alongside CorruptedG and Chicago under Evil Geniuses.
With VALORANT’s release he announced that he was retiring from Rocket League to pursue a career in Riot’s newest FPS. However, it doesn’t seem like he found much success as the majority of his results ended up in 5th-8th places, having his best result being a 2nd at a weekly event.

Klassux is one of the most legendary figures in Rocket League Esports. Seeing him return to the field is definitely joyful news to many, and we cannot wait to see him get signed and return to where he left!
With the weekend coming to a close, last night we saw one of, if not the best bo7 series in Rocket League. The two titans of team Envy and NRG went the distance to the final game in the grand finals, but in the end Team Envy came out on top to win the RLCS X Winter Split.
GGs to @NRGgg as we win 4-3 in a very good and close series#RLCS REGIONAL 1 CHAMPS!🏆
Envy win RLCS X Winter Split – How did they do it?
For this event, Team Envy were already auto-qualified through to the 2nd round of the bracket. Here they faced off BoSF esports, which was no obstacle as Envy dominated the series 3-0. Next came the Pittsburgh Knights in the Quarterfinals, and despite PK winning the first game, Envy bounced back winning the other 3 matches.
This win here got them versus Ghost Gaming in a best of 7 at the Semifinals. Both teams played extremely well, and ended up trading games, but eventually, team Envy came out on top, winning the series 4-3. Next up in the Winners Finals was Rogue, with their recent roster change made to swap out Kronovi for Taroco. The team was certainly getting better results, but unfortunately, it was the end for them when they met Envy. The best of 7 series was easily won by Envy, concluding the match with a 4-0 score line. The win here confirmed their slot in the Grand Finals versus NRG.
Grand Final
At the start of the event, NRG lost their round 2 game versus Ghost, and this meant that NRG had to go through an entire losers bracket run to get into the Grand Finals. Team Envy kicked off the Grand Finals with an easy 2 wins at the start. Then NRG answered back with a win of their own, and closely after lost their next match to give Envy series-point.
NRG grouped up and had exceptional teamwork to gain back some goals, and this helped them win the next 2 matches to tie the series. In the final game, NRG started out strong, getting an early 2-0 lead; however this was not enough as Atomic and Mist answered back with 2 goals for Envy. Shortly after, NRG regained control of the ball and passed it onto Justin to flip reset and roll the ball into the goal for a 1-goal lead.
A few moments after the 6th kickoff, Atomic took the ball for himself and scored another for Envy to tie the series. This led to the final match in the best of 7 to go to a fifth consecutive overtime. During the overtime, the ball went back and forth, but ultimately Turbopolsa concluded the match with a goal for Envy to win the RLCS X Winter Split.
We are the #RLCS North America Regional CHAMPIONS 🏆
With Envy’s acquisition of Turbopolsa, we’re seeing time and time again that they are the best in North America. Despite their recent achievements, they are aware that teams like NRG and Ghost are also at a very high level, which is why Envy needs to keep their performance up until the next event!

"…I'm the last piece that fruity and Speed need." @RonakyRL joins Team Liquid Rocket League! Please join us in welcoming him to the team. pic.twitter.com/wGttddp1Tk
Team Liquid signing Ronaky to Rocket League team – Why?
It’s fair to say that Team Liquid has not been achieving the best results lately. And while it’s not fair to blame it all on one player, the team just needed new blood overall. Ronaky has played with Speed in the past, when they were playing under the Triple Trouble banner. Together, the duo participated in the Rocket Baguette: The Play event and managed to win it. Ronaky has had quite a great career in Rocket league so far, here are some of his best results:
Ronaky and Remkoe will definitely be impactful assets to this Team Liquid roster, and we can’t wait to see their performance in their upcoming events. Make sure you don’t miss out on any important esports news by keeping yourself updated on www.esportsguide.com!
FC Barcelona parting ways with Rocket League roster – Why?
Overall, the team had been performing quite well, and consistently getting decent results, but unfortunately, they were never able to grab a win and secure 1st place. Here are some of their most recent results:
According to coach El General, the decision was made by the management of the Barcelona brand, and not the esports division.
Here is what he had to say about the situation:
“Many people will be asking the “why”, this was a club decision, not Barça eSport’s, I want to reassure everyone that the esports section did everything they could to keep the team in the organization. As to the future the boys will decide what to do between them, I will be heading back to Latin America and get my hands back in Rocket Street and TOing, doing what brought me into esports in the first place and what I love.”
We will just have to wait and see what the trio decides to do in the long run. Stick with each other and try their best to get signed? Or Split apart to try and climb their way up with a different team?
