RLCS X: Fall Split – Kicking Off the Season

Earlier this month, competitive Rocket League changed its format entirely. Accordingly, the RLCS X is now almost here. Recently, Psyonix released details with regards to the RLCS X: Fall Split.

In detail, the original post covers all the details intricately. Here’s how the Fall Split Regional Events are to take place:

  • 32-team, Swiss-style format per region where 3 wins means progression whereas 3 losses sends you home.
  • From two groups of 16, a final 16 will make it to another repetition of the format
  • Here, the top eight will then enter a single-elimination playoff bracket to uncover the Regional Event Champion

The above will not apply to RLCS teams who had already qualified for RLCS X. Such teams will be auto-seeded into the RLCS: Fall Split.

When it comes to the broadcast, there are exciting changes here also. To begin with, regions will now have their own exclusive days instead of taking place concurrently. This looks to improve viewership and simply offer more competitive Rocket League for the community to enjoy in a spaced-out manner.

Respectively, the European and North American Regionals will take place on their own dates and times as stated in the original post. All the action may be viewed on YouTube and Twitch. It all starts as soon as August 1st and extends to October.

Ever since the announcement of the RLCS X, excitement has run rampant. Apart from the RLCS X: Fall Split, the RLCS: The Grid will also be taking place as a new innovation within the esport.
