CDL Stage 2 Major Recap – A Historical Story
Specifically, the entire craze is surrounding the Los Angeles Guerillas. Heading into the event they stood as an average team, hindered further by a final roster change due to sickness.
Yet, they fought. Thanks to an incredible signing of stand-in player Kris “Spart” Cervantez, the organization won its very first Major in the Call of Duty League!
At the same time, the likes of favourites OpTic Texas fell early while Atlanta FaZe maintained their stock as the second favourites.
Bearing this in mind, here are the final standings for the Major:
- #1 – Los Angeles Guerrillas
- #2 – Atlanta FaZe
- #3 – Boston Breach
- #4 – Florida Mutineers
- #5-6 – OpTic Texas and Seattle Surge
- #7-8 – Los Angeles Thieves and London Royal Ravens
- #9-12 – Minnesota Rokkr, New York Subliners, Paris Legion, Toronto Ultra
Indeed, it cannot be emphasized how epic the conclusion of the event was. For one of the first times ever, a team with a substitute won a Major.
In addition, many teams underperformed – we’ll likely see a tonne of roster changes in the coming weeks!
