CDL Stage 3 Major Recap – So Many Winners
There were a tonne of storylines which were confirmed as this event, with some of the key matches:
- OpTic Texas keep struggling with their substitute player – disappointing Top 6 finish
- Los Angeles Thieves show up on LAN but still unpredictable – making it to top 4
- Atlanta FaZe can’t win a grand finals – making it to every grand final, not having won yet
- Top 4 teams: London, Paris, LAG, Boston
And of course, there’s Seattle Surge.
Headed with two rookies, this team did what it already accomplished earlier this year – taking down Atlanta FaZe. Doing so in heroic fashion, the team pulled the victory by staying calm in incredibly tense and frantic moments.
In addition, after two horrible seasons, it’s incredible to see Seattle Surge at the top of the league for the first time.
With one more Major left, there’s only one opportunity for teams to earn points.
