CLG have announced that they will be parting ways with both of their LCS Head coaches, Ssong and Weldon. Here is their departure announcement:
Why did this happen?
The decision to part ways with both LCS coaches was definitely based on their results in the 2020 Summer Split. CLG finished the Summer split in 9th place with a score of 5 wins and 13 losses, just above Immortals in dead last.
Earlier this year in the Spring Split, CLG had also performed terribly, ending the split in last place with a score of 3 wins and 15 losses. Their 2020 season has certainly not been a great one, and some sort of management or coach change was long overdue.
How will CLG move forward?
CLG might have had a bad 2020 Season, however it is never too late to recover. In fact, stating these roster changes is only the beginning whenever a revitalization of a team needs to happen.
Hopefully with these changes CLG manage to bounce back to their glory days and regain some of the reputation they had lost.
