Cloud9 have announced that they will add Chu & JamezIRL as Head Coach and Strategic Coach for their VALORANT squad. Here is their announcement:
Who are they?
British coach Ash “Chu” Long is mostly known for his time with Envy as their Overwatch coach. He has accomplished many things with them, two of them being both seasons of the Overwatch Contenders 2019 in Western North America.
As for JamezIRL, he has already worked with the organization in the past, as the team’s head coach for their CS:GO division. This was back when the Cloud9 team was undergoing major roster changes and was in a very unstable position. However this time round he has a set role as the team’s strategic coach for VALORANT and will do the best in his power to help the team grow and improve.
Cloud9 add Chu & JamezIRL – Why is this a big move?
Cloud9 has been making many changes in almost every major esport that they have invested in. In League of Legends they have parted ways with Reapered, their Head Coach. In CS:GO they are currently in process with filling out the rest of the roster. They have recently rejoined Fortnite with 2 new players. And they are now investing in 2 coaches for their VALORANT division to further continue their success in the esport.
