Cloud9 Fortnite – Vivid and Chap Dropped Out of the Blue

Fortnite

Our second article of the day is a shocker. Indeed, last year the Fortnite stars of “Vivid” and “Chap” took over the competitive scene. However, just now as a recent part of Cloud9 Fortnites roster, the duo have been released out of the blue. Read on for the full scoop:

Earlier this year, the Team Liquid squad of “Chap”, “Vivid”, Poach” and “72hrs” were feared as one of the best in the competitive Fortnite scene. A few months later, Cloud9 decided to sign the duo of “Chap” and “Vivid”, hoping to keep the lightning in the bottle and to conquer the competitive scene.

High expectations were destroyed with repeatedly poor performances. Indeed, since September, either player has failed to place above 10th at any event. The organization of Cloud9 has been patient enough, but it seems that there is no more room for poor performances. That’s when the announcement has made for the Cloud9 Fortnite roster:

As you can tell, the players themselves may not have felt that the decision was justified together with their fans. There’s no need to discuss this – just take a look at “Chap”‘s performance recently:

What’s the significance of the Cloud9 Fortnite roster change?

Well, with how poorly competitive Fortnite has been looking, such stories don’t bode to well. Furthermore, “Vivid” announced his retirement shortly after and many are speculating as to whether Cloud9 will remain in the scene.
