We’re 4 days into the BLAST’s most recent event, and we’ve already seen a couple of upsets happening. Here is the current state of BLAST Premier Spring Final 2021 and how it all went down:
Current state of BLAST Premier Spring Final 2021 – Who was eliminated?
As can be seen in the tweet above, FaZe Clan and Evil Geniuses were the very first teams to be eliminated. Let’s take a closer look:
Evil Geniuses
Evil Geniuses started the event against the tournament favourites, Gambit Esports. All props to EG for making it a close series, but unfortunately they didn’t manage to beat the IEM Summer Champs. They then dropped to the losers bracket against NiP, and once again lost to a 2-0 scoreline.
FaZe Clan
FaZe on the other hand also had a tough opponent at the beginning of the tournament. They started out strong winning the first map of the series, but what followed were 2 close matches that just barely got out of reach for the international lineup. After that loss, they met against G2 in the lower bracket, and once again they played a close series. Eventually it was G2 that took the win, and just like that FaZe were eliminated too.
What’s next?
As it stands, Gambit and Natus Vincere will be battling it out in the Upper Bracket Final. With regards to the lower bracket, we’ve got BIG taking on NiP, and CoL against G2. These are going to be some super exciting matches so be sure not to miss any!
