It has been made public that Davidp and Ambi will be standing in for Vodafone Giants Gaming at VCT 2021 Stage 3 Challengers 2. Here is everything you need to know:
Davidp and Ambi standing in for Giants Gaming – Who is joining?
If you’re not familiar with Davidp, then you’ve certainly not been active in the VALORANT competitive scene. David was instrumental to G2 Esports’ success in 2020, started as a stand-in and then became a full-time player. Unfortunately the team lost its feel for the game, and they felt like they had to make a roster change. David was the first to go, and then he was a free agent. He was without a team since March of 2021, as that was when he announced his new project with Excel Esports. Despite the hype around this lineup, it only took them 3 months to get him benched from the squad. Now he’s looking at redemption by aiding this Giants lineup through VCT Stage 3 Challengers 2.
What about Ambi?
Unfortunately, not much is known about Ambi. He was formerly part of Vikingekrig Esports, and he’s been a part of Team Sampi since last October. On July 14th he revealed that he’s departing from the Czech squad and now it’s been announced that he’ll be part of Giants Gaming. He’s still very young, at just 21 years of age, and still has a lot of potential to unveil. Who knows, this might just be the perfect fit for the Spanish organisation.
This is how Giants Gaming’s roster is looking like heading into their next event:
- Johan “Meddo” Renbjörk Lundborg
- Aaro “hoody” Peltokangas
- Adolfo “Fit1nho” Gallego
- David “Davidp” Prins
- Štěpán “Ambi” Beránek
