With the LCK Spring 2022 season kicking off on January 12th, teams already have an idea about their strengths and weaknesses. Accordingly, slight tuning and changes can take place considering them. Bearing this in mind, DRX LoL SSONG had made headlines with the former head coach returning!
DRX LoL SSONG Head Coach – The Missing Piece?
For those unaware, Kim “SSONG” Sang-soo stood as the Head Coach for almost an entire year, from December 2020 to November 2021. Indeed, after three months, the organization has decided to resign the head coach, who’ll be in charge of the following team:
- Hwang “Kingen” Seong-hoon – Top
- Hong “Pyosik” Chang-hyeon – Jungle
- Kim “Zeka” Geon-woo – Mid
- Kim “Taeyoon” Tae-yoon – Bot
- Cho “BeryL” Geon-hee – Support
- Kim “Deft” Hyuk-kyu – Bot
Indeed, with a familiar face back, they’re trying for new results. Heading into Week 5 of the competition, DRX sit in a good spot at 4th place, tied with DAMWON Gaming at a 5-3 scoreline. Roughly halfway through, it’s the time to improve.
Speaking of improvement, hopefully the season looks better than their past year of competition:
- 10th @ LCK Summer 2021
- 5th @ LCS Spring 2021
- 5-8th @ 2020 World Championship
- 2nd @ LCK Summer 2020
