EA SPORTS Cup Final 2023 – A 2v2 Competition
So, what’s the context for this event?
Organized for esports organizations, the EA Sports Cup is designed to crown the very best duos in the world. Accordingly, hosted on Playstation 5, this event involved the best teams in the world earning a spot through multiple regional qualifiers.
Runing from 17th October to 1st January, with $250,000 on the line, the winner was crowned yesterday in London – Ninjas in Pyjamas.
So, how did “Ollelito” and “LevideWeerd” earn the crown?
Well, they certainly had to earn it. Squeaking into the second seed for Group A, they seeded into the Playoffs with not much pressure on them to win it.
However, after burying the likes of Fokus Clan and FUTWIZ, everyone suddenly realized that they had a chance to go all the way.
To do so, they’d have to face one of the favourites – Fnatic. Accordingly, they did so in epic fashion – winning in an uncontested 5-1 scoreline!
