Eden Esports have opted to announce the Malta Vibes event for 2021. Here is their announcement:

Eden Esports Malta Vibes – Event Details

Eden revealed that this version of the Malta Vibes will play out in the next 6 months. There are going to be 6 stand-alone events, having one happening monthly. The talented CS:GO teams from both Europe and the CIS will be battling it all for the $300,000 prize pool, and the 12 premium bootcamp packages. These bootcamps will consist of a flight to Malta as well as a comfortable stay at the 5-star hotel.

This is what Sergey Bidzan, CEO of Eden Esports, said about the news:

β€œI am very excited to announce the return of the Malta Vibes series in 2021! This time with a new and refreshing knockout format, a wider distribution of the prize pool, and being a part of the Elisa Champions of Champions ranking circuit with further invites to the recently announced new series of LAN events. We believe that with every new opportunity created for the CS:GO scene, we are slowly but surely moving towards our ultimate goal β€” shortening the gap between Tier 1 and Tier 2 organizations and growing our niche of the industry.”

Malta Vibes format

Eden Esports are introducing a new and dynamic knockout format for this edition. 40 teams will be competing in each tournament through the season. 32 of these teams will receive an invitation to the ro32 (Round of 32) stage, whereas the other 8 will get a direct invitation to the ro16#2 stage. Here’s a short list of how it will play out:

  • Round-Of-32
  • Round-Of-16 β€” $1000 per K.O.
  • Round-Of-16 #2 β€” $1,000 per K.O.
  • (with 8 more invited teams)
  • Quarter-Finals β€” $2,000 per K.O.
  • Semi-Finals β€” $5,000 per K.O.
  • Grand-Final β€” $16,000 per K.O.

This event is going to be a blast! Be sure to tune into the event, kicking off on the 16th of August.
