Chinese Dota 2 team Elephant has announced that it’s welcoming rOtK as their head coach for season 2 of the DPC. Here is everything you need to know:
Elephant welcoming rOtK as Head coach – Who is he?
Bai “rOtK” Fan is a former Dota 2 player (now coach) from China. He’s been involved with the scene since 2011, when he first joined up with Team DK. Then he moved on to play for more known organizations, such as: Vici Gaming, EHOME, and LGD. He then stepped into the coaching role for the first time in 2017 with Invictus Gaming. He’s also coached VGJ.Thunder, as well as Vici Gaming, and now he’s looking to aid the Elephant roster in their upcoming events.
With this change the full Elephant lineup for Dota 2 is as follows:
Players:
- Zhang “Eurus“ Chengjun
- Lu “Somnus, M” Yao
- Zhou “Yang” Haiyang
- Xu “Fy” Linsen
- Ru “Redpanda” Zhihao
Manager:
- Dong “Hide” Hang
Coach:
- Bai “rOtK” Fan
Assistant Coach:
- Chen “Xz” Zezhi
What’s next?
In the first season of the Dota 2 Pro Circuit, team Elephant did not reach their intended result. They finished in 5th, just under team PSG.LGD, only achieving $25,000 from the prize pool, and not receiving a seed to the Major Wild Card event. Now, instead of some drastic player changes, the team has decided to bring on an excellent coach, which will hopefully help them get better results in the near future.
