Envy crowned Regional Champions – How did they do it?
Group Stage
Envy kicked off the event by topping group B with a 3-0 score line, winning versus Morning light, Version1 and Zero Issue. They then advanced through to the 2nd stage, where they ended with a 3-1 scoreline, winning versus Alpine Esports, Team Frontline, Kansas City Pioneers and only losing to their main rivals, G2. This result progressed Envy into the playoffs where they would be up against NRG.
Playoffs
NRG is another team that Envy has a rivalry with, especially because NRG is Turbopolsa’s previous team. Their series was extremely close, however, Envy clutched it out in the end winning the series with a clean 3-0. They then met up versus G2 esports in the Semifinals, where Envy took the win with a 4-2 scoreline. This win meant that they will be advancing into the grand finals versus the Kansas City Pioneers.
Finals
The highly anticipated grand finals was finally commencing and Envy took the lead with already 2 maps under their belt. However KCP came back from their previous losses and replied back with an additional 3 wins. It was all down on the final match, the final goal and in the very last second Mist jumped up and rocketed towards the ball, and the rest was history.
What’s next for Envy?
This currently Envy lineup has already achieved really good results, and overall they have been performing extremely well for this season. Hopefully they manage to keep it up, and keep up their level as long as they can.
