ESL and DreamHack have finally come together to reveal details about the ESL Pro Tour 2021. Indeed, many have thrown about speculation that the entire Tour would have to be played online. However, against all odds, a total of eight LAN events have been scheduled for 2021. Read on for all the details!
Originally, the competitive CounterStrike: Global Offensive structure had 10 LAN events lined up to test the best in the world. That number is decreasing to 8, but not due to restrictions. As announced, the co-organizers in ESL and DreamHack have purposely decided to reduce the strain on competitors.
Kicking off in February, there’s a tonne of excitement behind the entire season which will run to December. Everything may be subject to change depending on how the global situation changes.
Just like that, here’s the confirmed calendar for the ESL Pro Tour 2021:
- IEM Katowice (16-28 Feb)
- ESL Pro League Season 13 (10 Mar – 18 Apr)
- DreamHack Masters Event (3-13 Jun)
- ESL One Cologne (6-18 Jul)
- IEM Melbourne (17-22 Aug)
- ESL Pro League Season 14 (1 Sep – 10 Oct)
- IEM Masters Event (14-24 Oct)
- IEM Masters Event (2-12 Dec)
Together with dates, ESL announced a double-weekend format. This should provide more time for players to practice, enhancing the viewing experience and allowing for more content to be made. The CS:GO community can’t wait to get started.
