With yesterday’s win against Team Undying, Evil Geniuses are the first team to qualify to TI10 (The International 10). Here’s everything you need to know.
How are they qualified for The Invitational?
It’s no secret that Evil Geniuses have been one of the strongest teams in 2021 with regards to Dota 2 esports. In the first season of the North American Dota Pro Circuit Evil Geniuses placed first, getting a spot at the Major. Then, in the One Esports Major in March/April, the team placed 2nd, getting more qualification points. Now in the 2nd season, the team has already acquired the minimum of 200 Pro Circuit points to reach and surpass the least amount of points required for qualification. This is how many points they’ve received:
- Dota Pro Circuit 2021: Season 1 – NA Upper Division – 1st Place – 500 Pro Circuit Points
- ONE Esports Singapore Major 2021 – 2nd place – 450 Pro Circuit Points
- Dota Pro Circuit 2021: Season 2 – NA Upper Division – 1st/2nd/3rd – 200 Pro Circuit Points
