According to rumours circling round the League of Legends esports scene, Excel are to acquire Denyk and Nukeduck for the 2021 LEC Summer Split. Here is everything you need to know.
Excel to acquire Denyk and Nukeduck for 2021 LEC Summer Split – Who are they?
Nukeduck
24-year-old Erlend “Nukeduck” Våtevik is quite a familiar face in the European LoL scene. He started his career very young in the esport with 3DMAX, and then played for H2k, NiP, Roccat as well as Vitality. On the 8th of February, Nukeduck announced that he was stepping away from the competitive atmosphere due to personal problems. Just recently he announced that he is actively searching for a role within an LEC team, and Excel might just be his next home.
Denyk
26-year-old Petr “Denyk” Haramach is a Czech League of Legends professional player. He started his career in 2013 with Extatus, and then went on to play for multiple teams within League of Legends. Recently he’s represented Misfits Gaming, but was benched recently. Now with Excel, he’ll be back on a starting lineup, hoping to bring better results in Summer.
Why bring them on?
Excel hasn’t had the best results in the LEC Spring Split of 2021. The team only managed to place 8th overall, just barely above Astralis and Team Vitality. Hopefully with these new additions the team can bounce back and get better results in Summer.
