FIFA 2023 Esports Road Map – Returning FIFA Global Series
For those unaware, the highest level of competitive FIFA has been organized and celebrated by the FIFA Global Series.
So, heading into next year, the two massive post-season events to note are the FIFAe World Cup and the FIFAe Club World Cup. Each of them have their very own path and circuit.
FIFAe World Cup – An Incredible Build-Up
Firstly, the FIFAe World Cup will involve a number of events to determine who the single best individual is. Starting things off with online qualifiers involving a maximum 1216 players in January, there’ll be multiple opportunities to qualify.
However, halfway through the season, there will be a new mid-season major event. Accordingly, with $500,000 on the line, the FGS will invite the competition to London in April to see who sits on top.
Anyways, further into the season, depending on Global Series Rankings, qualification continues. Whether through Group Stage or Open Bracket, teams will try to make it to the Play-Ins. Here, Partner League events will allow individuals to seed!
Furthermore, the top 64 players will compete through the final Global Series Playoffs with $300,000 to earn the final 24 spots for the FIFAe World Cup.
FIFAe Club World Cup – Experimenting Further
Secondly, the FIFAe Club World Cup offers a different type of competition. Featuring 20 teams as determined here, the new team-based event will be a completely different game to the 1v1 side.
Taking place across three months, from October 2022 to January 2023, EA Games will be offering $250,000.
FIFAe Nations 2023 – National Pride
In addition, there will also be the FIFAe Nations Cup 2023 as explained in the following video:
Also, there’s the FIFA eChampions League 2023 to look forward to also!
With so much going on, we’re incredibly excited for the future of FIFA esports!
