Over the past few weeks, EA Games has animated the competitive scene thanks to several exciting post-season events. Accordingly, the FIFAe Club World Cup 2022 concluded last weekend – read on as we recap this exciting event!
FIFAe Club World Cup 2022 Recap – Returning from 2021
Out of all the events, Club World Cup involved teams of 2 competing against one another. Running from 20th to the 23rd July, the 24 duos competed for the likes of $300,000!
Here’s how the competition stacked up in the end:
- #1 – Movistar Riders
- #2 – Serious About FIFA
- #3-4 – MGCF eSports, Ninjas in Pyjamas
With the team consisting of “Andonii”, a former 2021 World Champion and the likes of “tuga810″, the team was always one of the favourites.
So much so that they kicked off this display of dominance in the Group Stage, scoring the highest points out of any team in all three groups.
Carrying this momentum into the Knockout Stage, they would handle all the competition with ease, except perhaps exceL:
- Riders vs Dire Wolves (2-0)
- exceL vs Rider (2-3)
- Riders vs MGCF eSports (2-0)
Overall, the event concluded with a somewhat close Grand Final which Movistar happily claimed to earn the Club World Cup title for this year!
