On the 21st of March it was made aware that es3tag will be joining Astralis as their 6th man on the roster. He will be joining the Danish squad on July 1st when his contract expires with Heroic. Along with this roster change, Flashpoint was affected as well, as one of the teams that was participating in their league will be with one player less, meaning that the team cannot compete.
Flashpoint have announced that Swole Patrol will be the replacement team for Heroic / FPX. The situation between Heroic / FPX is still unclear, but what is for sure is that es3tag will not be representing FPX, starting this summer.
Currently in the lead are Cloud9 in group A, MAD Lions in group B, MiBR in group C, all with 75 points heading into Flashpoint’s 2nd phase
In regards to Flashpoint, it is said that Swole Patrol will be playing as FPX, but it was later clarified by Austin “Cooper-” Abadir himself that they have not signed with FunPlus Phoenix. An important thing to mention is that they are the 2nd team that have been allowed to participate in both leagues, 1st being MiBR.
Swole Patrol have been placed in Group B of Flashpoint 1, coming up against MAD Lions, Chaos and c0ntact. Their first match for Flashpoint will be versus c0ntact formerly known as CR4ZY. The roster had a great showing at the Starladder Berlin major, which afterwards resulted in a roster change favoring G2 esports with the trade of “huNter-” and “nexa”. And since then c0ntact have acquired “emi” and “SHiPZ” but will be using “Rallen” as their stand-in. It will for sure be a tough challenge for the ex-eunited roster, but they have proved us wrong many times in the past, who’s to say they can’t surprise us during Flashpoint League?
