Fnatic have opted to announce that Thai player Masaros will be joining their Dota2 squad as their offlaner. Here is their announcement:
Fnatic announce Masaros as Dota2 offlaner – Who is Masaros?
Natthaphon “Masaros” Ouanphakdee has been playing Dota2 professionally since late 2017 when he joined team ALPHA Blue. Since then he has been developing as a player, and early 2020 transferred to play for Motivate. Trust Gaming. With MTG he has shown his potential as an offlaner and this is exactly why Fnatic have chosen to pick him up. Masaros has won many events in Southeast Asia, some being:
- 1st at DOTA Summit 13 Online: Southeast Asia – 8th November 2020 – $42,000
- First in BTS Pro Series Season 3: Southeast Asia – 27th September 2020 – $21,000
- 1st at the ESL Thailand Championship 2020 Season 1 – 11th August 2020 – $13,102
With their recent additions, this is how the current Fnatic roster looks like:
- Marc Polo Luis “Raven” Fausto
- Kam “Moon” Boon Seng
- Natthaphon “Masaros” Ouanphakdee
- Anucha “Jabz” Jirawong
- Djardel “DJ” Mampusti
How will Masaros impact Fnatic?
It’s fair to say that Fnatic have had a confusing year this year. At the beginning of the year they were on a huge winning streak, however lately, they haven’t been getting their expected results, and this meant that changes were inevitable. Hopefully with Masaros’ offlaning skill and capabilities, the Fnatic roster will return to its strong performances like they had early on in 2020.
