Not making it for a massive esports event is always a tough pill to swallow. Such a statement can be applied to the FPX VALORANT Roster who despite a good season, couldn’t play when it mattered. Accordingly, it seems that the roster is a ticking time bomb – read on for more details.
FPX VALORANT Roster – Rebuilding, Rekindling
Such news is based on multiple reports from the community and reporters across social media, such as Arran “Halo” Spake:
The details are well explained in the Tweet above. Accordingly, both Tobias “ShadoW” Flodstrom and Dmitry “Dimastick” Matvienko seeme to be headed out of the roster.
Such news is no surprise following the departure of the former FPX VALORANT coach Thibaut “menegh” Brognard.
Indeed, the word ‘overhaul’ has been thrown around. Following a disappointing Stage 3, change is needed.
However, it’s unfortunate considering the strong season the team has had so far:
- VCT 2021: Europe Stage 1 Masters – 3-4th
- EMEA Stage 2 Challengers Finals – 5-6th
- Europe Stage 3 Challengers 1 – 4th
Although performing well at qualifying events, they never managed to put it together at the regional finals.
Over the next few days we’re expecting further confirmation and more news on this matter.
It’s a tough pill to swallow, but it’s medicine anyway. Let’s see if they can turn it around next season.
