With the current health situation in the world, hosting live esports events is becoming somewhat difficult due to unpredictability. Accordingly, we’ve got some bad news. Indeed, the Free Fire World Series 2021 is now officially cancelled. Read on for more news.
Free Fire World Series 2021 – Very Unfortunate
Overall, this is quite disheartening news – especially since the World Series looked to be one of the best competitive Free Fire events ever.
For further detail, Garena shared the following statement with Dotesports:
The World Series stands as Free Fire’s largest and most exciting esports offline tournament.
The growing safety concerns, however, have made it challenging to provide players and fans both an enjoyable yet safe offline esports experience.

Supposedly, this November event was apparantly planned to be held in Mexico such as the previous Six Major.
However, the country is doing too well with regards to the health situation and the event has unfortunately had to be called off.
Yet, Garena has not offered up reason as to why the event can’t be held online. Instead of losing the entire event, an online one could have perhaps offered some exciting competition anyway.
Regardless, we’ll keep our hopes up. Otherwise, there are still a bunch of events to watch. We’ll be sure to stay up to date.
