As we all know, only one team won Worlds 2021. Accordingly, everyone else is scratching their heads and rebuilding for next season. Accordingly, FunPlus Phoenix is one such team from the LPL. Read on as we cover their most recent roster change – FunPlus Phoenix Doinb!
FunPlus Phoenix Doinb – Where Off to Now?
The South Korean Kim “Doinb” Tae-sang has always been the centre of stories. Indeed, back in 2019, he stood as the first player from the LCK region to be granted LPL residency.
Anyways, over the past here, he’s been the Mid player for a disappointed FunPlus Phoenix. Although the organization had no plans of dropping the player, the player announced his parting of ways from the organization:
Today we bid farewell to our Super Carry, Kim “Doinb” Tae-sang. After three unforgettable years, we would like to extend our gratitude to you for all the spirits you brought to the organization, both on and off the rift.”

With his departure, the following players are left on the active roster:
- Lin “Lwx” Wei-Xiang – Bottom
- Liu “Crisp” Qing-Song – Support
Bearing this in mind, the organization will be making changes based on the past season of achievements:
- 14-16th @ 2021 World Championship
- 2nd @ LPL Summer 2021
- 2nd @ LPL Spring 2021
We’ll be keeping an eye out for how they proceed further.
