Yesterday, G2 matched up versus Vitality in the first stage of the first season of the Rainbow Six Siege European League. The match was expected to be very close, however G2 dominated the whole series and ended it 7-1 in their favor. Here is their winning moment:
What went wrong for Vitality?
There wasn’t any particular thing that made them lose, they simply played bad versus a very strong team and it cost them. FabiaN, Vitality’s In-game leader, had a dreadful 0.15 rating over the course of the series. However it is very harsh to blame the whole loss on one player, as the rest of the squad didn’t do much better either, having their highest rating being 0.86 by BiBoo.
What’s next for G2?
With this victory, G2 are in 4th place with a 2-2-1 score, just under Virtus.pro in 3rd place. The G2 roster has undergone a lot of changes over the past few months, and I think it’s fair to say that it is finally starting to work out.
