G2 have announced that they are signing Fortnite pro Jahq for their North American Fortnite roster. Here is their official announcement:
G2 signing Jahq for Fortnite – Who is he?
Jack “jahq” Downs is an American Fortnite Pro player, which surprisingly, hasn’t been picked up by a professional organisation before. Last year he represented Team Apex, alongside other North American players, but this year, he has been representing Team Vanish and that’s where he’s had his best moments of his career so far.
Here are some of Jahq’s best results:
- 3rd at FNCS Chapter 2 Season 2 – 24th May 2020 – $40,000
- 5th at FNCS Chapter 2 Season 4 – 1st November 2020 – $9,000
- 1st in Ninja Battles Week 6 – 6th October 2020 – $8,333.33
Now, Jahq is already qualified for the DreamHack Online Open Heats event, and is looking to get his first victory under the G2 Esports banner.
What’s next?
In Europe, G2 has already acquired Tohaj and LeTsHe; However, for North America, they only had Coop, which will now be joined by Jahq. Hopefully with this signing, G2 will have better results in North American events, and will eventually continue to pick up a third or fourth player for the team.
