The latest announcement from Gambit Esports has stated that they will be closing their FIFA esports division which has been active for about three years before Gambit Esports release FIFA roster.
Results
In these three years they’ve secured a top 8 placement at the FIFA IWC, and they have won several Russian and Kazakhstan national championships. Andrei “Timon” Gurev, their main FIFA player, had some very noticeable results, some being the Nations Friendship Cup 2016, in which he placed 2nd. Another event which Timon placed well in was the Electronic Sports World Cup in 2016, where he managed to grab 4th place versus the best players in the game.

Ivan Zanin, the Gambit FIFA coach and manager also added that he was very grateful for the player’s dedication and attitude towards FIFA during his time under Gambit Esports.
From what it seems like, Gambit Esports will not be returning to FIFA any time soon, however the rest of the players will definitely be setting their eyes on being acquired by another organization.
