Across all of last season, we can happily state that the Gen.G organization had a fantastic run in League of Legends. Indeed, carrying over from a successful 2020 season, 2021 was also great. However, that doesn’t mean they’re not making changes. Read on as we cover this story on the Gen.G LCK 2022 Roster!
Gen.G LCK 2022 Roster – An International Contender?
Nobody here is contesting whether or not Gen.G showed up this year. So much so, many are surprised at the fact that the team is in fact making any changes. However, with the end of Worlds, they let go of a few players:
- Gwak “Bdd” Bo-seong
- Kim “Clid” Tae-min
- Kim “Rascal” Kwang-hee
- Ko “Youngjae” Yeoung-jae
- Kim “Life” Jeong-min
And now, they’ve just announced a complete new roster, one which they believe will finally reward them with first-place finishes:
- Noh “Burdol” Tae-yoon – Top
- Choi Doran” Heyon-joon – Top
- Han “Peanut” Wang-ho – Jungle
- Jeong “Chovy” Ji-hoon – Mid
- Park “Ruler” Jae-hyuk – Bot
- Son “Lehends” Si-woo – Support
Indeed, the organization is confident they can replicate and improve on their old results with a brand new team:
- 3-4th @ 2021 World Championship
- 3rd @ LCK Summer 2021
- 2nd @ LCK Spring 2021
We’ll be curious to see whether the rebuild will be worth it in the future.
