Gen.G have just announced that they are parting ways with their VALORANT player Huynh. Here is the announcement:
Gen.G parting ways with VALORANT player Huynh – Why?
We already knew that Huynh wasn’t one of the main players for quite some time. This is because back in April, the team announced that they are benching him, and bringing on NaturE as a replacement.
We haven’t yet seen this new roster in play, as their final match played was during the VCT 2021 North American Stage 2 Challengers 2 Qualifier. It’s certainly going to be interesting to see how Gen.G will perform with this newly revealed roster change. Their next event will probably be the Stage 3 Challengers 1 event.
What’s next for Huynh?
Huynh on the other hand will now be looking towards joining another team in the North American scene. He’s proven time and time again that his abilities are impeccable and deserves to be in the best tier of VALORANT competition. Unfortunately for him, options are very limited at the moment, but hopefully in due time, we’ll see his announcement too.
Here are some of his best achievements with Gen.G:
- 1st in the T1 x Nerd Street Gamers Invitational – 4th May 2020 – $20,000
- 3rd at VCT 2021: North America Stage 1 Masters – 20th March 2021 – $15,000
- 1st in Pittsburgh Knights Before Christmas – 20th December 2020 – $6,000
